Can someone w/ an E6K please check serial connector?
I just bought an E6K from someone and the serial connector on the Haltech harness was damaged. There are only 4 wires inside the connector from the Haltech. The green one was ripped from the connector and I do not know which terminal it was from. Inside the connector, the terminals are numbered. The connector comes apart w/ just 2 screws.
I think this is how they are supposed to be
1: nothing
2: red
3: blue
4: green?????
5: yellow
6 through 9: nothing
If anybody can verify this I would really really appreciate it, I know it is an odd request. I spliced in another serial cable, but would really like to be sure before I hook it up to my laptop.
Thanks
Mike

Today I noticed the connector is included in the wiring diagram. Pin 4 is not used. Not sure what the green wire is doing inside there then but I guess I'll be okay.

On the E6K(Also X) the only pins you need be concerned with are as follows:
HALTECH -------- DB9 RS232 9Pin
Pin 8 ------------------- Pin 2(TX)
Pin 9 ------------------- Pin 3(RX)
Pin 26------------------ Pin 5(Ground)
Check for continuity across these wires, and you should be all set.
