Poor Mans Parallel Fuel System Option

Poor Mans Parallel Fuel System Option

BENEFITS:
a. Equal pressure to both the primary and secondary fuel rails.
b. No longer require the pulsation dampner.
c. Inexpensive. Does not require purchase & installation of AN fittings with braided lines and fittings to be made up. No purchase of an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator required.

This option only requires 3 tee fittings and a spare secondary fuel pressure regulator which you can find in just about any junkyard which has RX7's.

See here for details and pictures:

Interesting, you should at least give RETED credit for the graphics you appear to have lifted off his website

Well banzaitoyota, I guess you are trying to call me some sort of thief for trying to save time and not redraw things that were drawn already.

No problem. I took the pictures down until I have time to redraw them for those who genuinely could have used the graphics to help with this mod.

Just thank banzaitoyota for his input...

Plagerism is illegal buddy

The only thing you have to do is say that you are using RETED's pix and let him know or just ask to use them. Is that hard?

All you had to do was give RETED credit, on his original image he did have a HUGE Copyright emblem, do you think he put it there for fun and games?

Are you eliminating the pulsation dampner because of possible future malfunction? Putting a tee in the line may reduce the need but it doesnt eliminate it.
BTW, that tee has to be high strength or you have a major fire risk.

So if you 'Y' it and put the dampner on just one leg (primary) the flow restriction wouldnt be an issue ?

All he was suggesting was that you give credit to the person who put a whole day into creating those picures, and then wrote a big copyright note across them to discourage people from using them inappropriately. Nobody suggested you take them down, so there's no need to be such as *** about it.

The link doesn't work now anyway.

take the PD off of the primary rail, replace it with a FPR, 2 metal T's for the gas, 1 plasticl T for the vacuum hose.

Just a guess.

do you need to use the electric valve for the FPR?

The solenoid valve is for the hot-start assist system. It stops vapour lock caused by heat-soak. It's not absolutely necessary, but can be quite useful.

if you use a large enough bore fuel rail the pulsation issue becomes a 'non' issue, the pressure drop across the larger volume becomes less. Try some 16-18mm bore fuel rail stock.
