Question Question re: RHD FD engine life

Just wondering how long the engines usually last? 100xxxkm? Less? More? I've seen some used dealers claiming "low mileage" but they're 70xxx+ km... Just wondering if that's accurate?

The car is 20 years old, mileage doesn't mean anything. Maintenance by previous owners is what matters but that's something you can never really know.

Unless your losing coolant or overheating, its probably turbo's. The smoke will be blue if its oil (usually turbo's) or white if its coolant (engine).

Like Marco said above, any oem engine regardless of km is 20 years old now. For daily driving it shouldn't be a problem but if you plan on driving with a heavy foot and all, rebuild the engine before it goes or it will much more expensive
