Beware Of Shook Motorsports NO SKILLS
Part 1 of Shook motorsports
Ryan from shook motorsports is a Fake, liar and no skills; he has totally fooled me about his ability’s on building an engine, installing a haltech and fabricating.
I should have seen the writing on the wall when 2 years ago he tuned my rx7. That took him one week to do, meaning every night for week. When I asked why is it taking so long to tune, he simply said I’m very meticulous when I tune and I spend a lot of time on drivability.
The biggest warning that I totally missed was there has been a mica yellow FD sitting in his shop for at least 2 years. When I asked him about the car, his response was it needs to be tuned.
So now its mid August 2013, myself and Ryan are now talking about pricing and things I wanted done.
My list was as follows
Engine Rebuild Labor only
Wire Haltech
Stainless Oil cooler Lines
Custom built Roll Cage
New Down Pipe
Custom made exhaust manifold Dual waste gates
New brakes pads
Install diff brace
Eliminate ppf
Mod my intercooler piping
New pillow ball bushings in rear of car
Install E85 sensor
New fuel lines
I know there was more to the list, so I dropped the car off with no engine in it at the end of August. He claims car will be done by the end of November; I told him if there’s snow on the ground I’ll pay him for storage so the car doesn’t see snow. Ryan tells me don’t worry I have an enclosed trailer and will bring the car to you. I was impressed that he would do that, now I’m really excited.
Well November came and I have already paid him $2,260.00 toward building my engine. The engine was finally built with his secret ports, that I could not even get him to send me a pic of. He claims that he didn’t want anyone to copy, so now I have an engine built that I have no idea what the ports look like. I received a bill from him totally $3845.00 on 11/11/13 with a balance of $1,585.00 left on the engine build.
So now I know this car isn’t going to be done in November, I confront him about it and get the whole well it took longer to get the parts back from the machine shop on the refacing of the plates etc. So I simple ask when are you thinking of the new finish date? He says end of January for sure. Now I’m not happy because I have made an appointment with a body shop that I have to reschedule. So at this point I figure I’m already going into winter holidays are coming up, it is what it is. Well thanksgivings came then, as we all are aware Chicago was getting hammered with snow this past winter. I snow plow for a living and was super busy, I sent him the balance for the engine in January. Then sent him another check for parts in January for the Haltech etc. for $ 3520.00 so now I’m up to $7,365.00 and all I have is an engine built.
Weeks go by I look at my online banking and see he hasn’t cashed that check for $3520.00 for parts, so I called him wondering what is going on. Ryan tells me he is changing banks blah blah. I asked him did you order the parts? No not yet, so now frustrated I asked him is the car going to be still done by end of January? No it’s looking like February ish. I stressed to Ryan that he has missed two completion dates. Ryan tells me he Guarantees it will be done February, I simple answer ok.
Well February came and left, March Came and about to leave now we are coming up to April and now I’m $7,365.00 into this build and all I have is an engine sitting on his shop floor not even in the car. Nothing on my list of stuff is completed or has been started.
So I light him up about the build and how pissed I am, he gives me a completed date of 4/1/14. At this point we are just about two weeks to hitting April, and now he finally gets the engine in the car.
Then Ryan calls me to say your parts are ready to go to the powder coater and come pick them up. So I shoot out there to grab my parts and beg my guy to rush the powder coating on my parts. Now in the matter of two weeks I must have made over about a dozen trips to Ryan’s witch is in Rockford and I Live by O’Hare airport 142 miles round trip not including tolls. I figured that’s the only way my car will get done by the deadline.
Shocking I get a call from Ryan last day of March telling me that he needs more time. At this point I’m beyond pissed I have drove over 1,000 miles and god only knows how much money in tolls in two weeks back and fourth from him to me to bring him stuff and fix his screw ups.
Now I really lay into him about the car and he tells me he is taking some vacation days from work to finish my car. It will be done on 4/7/14, I asked are you sure this time he says yes. Ok so now we are in the first week of April and I decided to make a surprise trip to his shop.
I get there and was floored, he has a buddy over there helping him wire up the haltech with a lap top open with instructions looking at how to install the haltech in a FD. I was shocked because Ryan told me he has installed them in rx7’s before. So I asked Ryan I thought you said you have installed Haltch’s in rx7’s before? Ryan’s answer “yes just never an FD”. I shook my head and said are you sure about this because you’re not the one installing it, your friend that is. Ryan said don’t worry it will be fine. So now I’m worried and decide to leave and wondering if this car will even start up.
So two weeks go by now my car is ready for pick up 4/14/14, excited that this nightmare is about to be over, so I grab a blank check and my truck to tow the car back. Because it had no front end on the car, I get there and seeing her running was exciting, till he says car has an oil pan leak. Ryan tells me he will fix when the car comes back for the tune and that he didn’t finish wiring the haltech speed sensor. Plus tells me my final bill is 6,000.00 so now I’m $13,365.00 into the car that all that was done was engine build witch I bought all the seals myself those are not included.
So for $13,365.00 he installed and built the engine, made an exhaust manifold, wired the haltech, made fuel lines and oil feed lines. Nothing else off my original list, so as we are standing there talking, all I can think about is how I got screwed over by Zavier and now this piece of crap too… so now I really just want to leave before I lose it
He brought up the yellow mica Fd in the corner how he needs to get it gone out of his shop. By the way Ryan’s story changed now
He claims it had a bad batch of injector Dynamics injectors that were recalled. Witch during the tuning caused it to pop an engine, then he claims he rebuilt it for free and then tells me that if the owner goes on the forum and tells everyone about what happen it would ruin him. So I told him tune the car get it back to the owner, and be done with the car. He tells me at this point its to late and I Quote “I’m scared to tune it” because of it popping again. At that moment I knew I was screwed with my cars build…

Zaiver no you did the same thing to me except i'll give ryan credit on one thing he used real parts to put my engine together. not used and damaged parts like you did. thats one thing he was honest about. not your scamming turd ways do the forum a favor go get a job at walmart being a door greeter... thats what i can see you being good at, also Ryan has been trying to resolve this with a refund but we have not came to a agreement on the amount... So you need to know the facts before you chime in.

As for your involvement in this thread, well, it ends here and now.
Oh, and next time you think youre gonna sound off like you got a pair, maybe you should read the whole thread before linking it in this one. Page 3 shows what happened and why he posted this here feedback thread. Free tip for you and your cheerleader buddy....pay attention to the dates of the posts. Looks mighty foolish trying to compare his posts from March to his posts from this month. Just a thought. He was jacked about what the work looked like, and who wouldnt be? But even you should know enough about these engines to know that polishing a turd only gets you shiny ****. Akagi's got it right....you passed thin ice a few miles back, so I'd check yourself if I were in your shoes.
Oh, one more thing....you refunded those customers and that should be the end of it??? I wasnt aware that crack became legal in Ohio. You've shipped out parts that you KNEW were not as advertised. You have lied to customers about shipping times. You have falsely advertised things here. You have caused a hell of a lot of mess. That isnt just "done and over with" because you were told that you would be banned unless you did what was right in those cases.
You dont get to parade around like you've done something noteworthy because you were basically forced to refund those people their money. At least get that part right.

First off if the customer had informed me he want a refund or sent the parts back within a yr or contacted me he wanted a refund, something would been worked out. As I stated those Bins got damage in shipping, I don't see why you can understand that, that's why I told him to put in a claim with FedEx, so they could inspect it he never did. Mitch never informed me he wanted a refund, I just read it about it on here. I'm done dealing with this, Trueimport is bring up stuff that happen 10yrs ago and I didn't own a shop just work for rx7store, which should of had no outcome on my business today. I'm done with this mess, from now on I will send a pm if those guy's start stuff in a thread and see what happen from there.

Zavier you still have not changed your way....So i decided to go to your Facebook page.. Not shocked that a guy posted where are my parts that he ordered on january 7. and now posted on June 4th thats 6+ months of waiting for parts from you and asking you to answer his email or messages. Yup point proven again

Yes Zavier I am bring up my problem with you from 10 years ago. Reason why is theres clearly an on going theam with you. My botched build from YOU not rx7 store or Jason, justanother7 bad build and your blown engine on the dyno from your tuning session 5 years ago, rogrx7 issues from 1 year ago. Not to mention the countless others that you've screwed in one way or another over the past decade. I'm going to do my part and do the rx7 community justice by warning them about you, your shady lying BS and your business ethic in general or lack there of.
As far as my experience with Ryan an Shook motorsports is this....... I was not bann nor have I ever had been bann from his shop. As a matter of fact I'm sure if you ask him directly he will agree. I was going to have him build my engine but it took him something like 3.5 or 4 months to tell me what parts I needed for my engine. One minute he would say a part of mine was good and usable then he would come back weeks later and saynit wasnt. I didn't like how long it took him to get back to me with answers on whether or not my parts were good or bad. So I pulled my motor, paid him what was due for the tear down and went on my way end of story. I will give him one smallmpartmof possative credibility and say that HE'S the one that discovered Zaviers crap *** build and cause of my issues set fort from Zavier and him using USED parts in my build.
I was there for the disassembly and removal of shook motorsports build in justanother7s car. I'll comment on this matter when the time is right. I'll say this though, JUST like roller said if you polish a turd you get shiny **** and that's without a doubt the case here. There were a dozen or more fasteners alone that I was able to remove by hand.
