Would someone identify this clutch?

Any ideas as to whom makes this clutch? It's a 6 puck, and I was told it was ACT when I purchased the vehicle. Allrotor93's mechanic put it in if that's of any help. I'm assuming whoever made the clutch disk made the pressure plate, and it's a unit. I might just pull the pressure plate off and see if there is a logo on the disk.

Looks like it could be a Spec clutch. I recall their pressure plates being blue, but I thought they came with the SPEC logo on them...

Yeah it has absolutely no logo, and the pressure plate doesn't match the SPEC ones 100%. The logo hasn't been scratched off though. It's like there never was one. I was just wondering, because the disk is getting worn down, and I need a new one. I was just trying to find the rating of that plate.

I suppose I could just replace the disk with a new sprung 6 puck, and see if it holds.

Definitely looks like a spec based on the color. Have you tried removing the pp and disc to look for any emblems/markings?

John, one other thing---while the engine is out of the car, you might want to replace all of your coolant hoses, Ray is running a special on them. You also might want to replace the pilot bearing on the end of the e-shaft depending on mileage.

I will replace those hoses. I need to order all new gaskets as well from Ray, and of course the FPD. I'm debating larger injectors as well. I'm gonna leave the bearing as is until I send it to you later this year. I haven't disassembled the clutch yet, I figure the disk has a logo on it. I'll look at it tommorrow.

I just want something that will hold the torque of that 500R on high boost.

Here's the current Turboclutch Max, from RPS Automotive.
He also has a 6-puck Sport model.

Damn both my flywheel and pressure plate are pretty gouged up. I wonder if I have to replace the pressure plate.

EDIT: I found a pic of another spec pressure plate, and it's identical to mine. The disk looks the same too. I'm almost positive this is a SPEC.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=spec+clutch

Identical to that. The PP is identical to other pics of the spec PP's.
