Trev passed-on a few years ago. He was from the Seattle area (was a friend of JimLab, iirc). Kevin is from Minnie. (now we need to bring Tuck back for those great flamewars b/w them).

Trev died in a car crash. The details are rather somber and since I wasn't close to him, I won't provide any.

If it is a subject that Jim Lab wants to discuss, I am sure he will.

Trev is certainly remembered and one of the first few persons that assisted me with questions way back in 1996 when I acquired my FD.

i was pretty close to him (via the old rx7list) too...

i probably know who you are too then, i was from the old list but sold my R2 in '00. i'd moved on since then, but i remember Trev's dad also had a yellow R1... geez, hope Trev's resting in peace.

People might want to RETELL Trev's story to possibly educate the new band of 16 and 17 year old's thinking of buying FDs. Jim?

This pretty much sums it up...

Trev and his friend Jon were killed on Saturday, June 24th, 2001 in his dad's CYM R1. The cause of the accident was never determined, but the car left the road at an estimated 130-140 mph supported by the in-car camera and footage that wasn't damaged in the crash. It traveled approximately 250 yards end for end, touching down only three times before hitting a row of Alder trees, sliding to the ground, and partially burning.

Trev was thrown from the car despite having his seat belt on, and died immediately of massive head injuries. His friend Jon was trapped in the car, still in his belt, with his head under the dash and his feet in the hatch. He also died of head injuries.

This is a OLD bump, but worthy of it. I actually know the new owner of Kevin's black car. We actually just did a feature of it for our magazine. The new owner kept building the twin turbo setup that Kevin was putting together and now it runs and drives great!
