NOT BOOSTING pls help.

I just finished with a vacuum job on my 94, changed gaskets, new radiator and it is'nt boosting at all. need some suggestions on what problem is. idle is solid 900.
engine doesnt sputter. the whole reason i did the vacuum job was to solve the boost problem i have. now the problem is still present any suggestions will help, thank you. (yes i have a boost gauge)

P.S. my bro said it could be the wastegate stuck open,
is there anyway to bypass wastegate.

The waste gate being stuck open could be part of it. Why don't you have a vacuum chamber ? I believe you need it. Doesn't do much good to change all the hoses if you don't know what the problem is, if it wasn't a hose problem to begin with. Since you have a boost gauge what is your primary boosting to ? If you don't have at least 7psi. on the primary you won't have any boost on the secondary. Have you done any reading on how this system works ? If you don't have an idea of what to look for then suggestions won't get you very far.

My primary is'nt boosting, im running all engine right now, i was just hoping for a quick answer or suggestion to look the right way. if wastegate is part of problem, what other underlying problems could there be. is it possible some of my solenoids are not working causing the problem? Thx for your reply and help bro.

Without a vacuum chamber your solenoids won't function.

The vacuum chamber is tucked underneath/between the power steering pump and alternator. Get it connected.

1. You actually asked if you could bypass the wastegate.
+
2. You couldn't find the vacuum chamber so you plugged it?

take your car to someone who knows what they are doing and let them fix it.

We understood what you did the first time you said it. You can't just plug stuff and then wonder why it doesn't work!!!

Like I said above, take the car to someone who can and will fix it properly.

even if the wastegate was stuck open, wouldnt you still be able to hit 7 psi of boost, atleast if you gave it WOT in like 3rd gear so it could have time to build? the wastegate doesnt bypass all the exhaust

If the wastegate was stuck open (very unlikely) or the connecting rod popped off the wg valve arm (somewhat possible) then you'd have no boost. All the flow would bypass the turbos.

The 7-8 psi deal is when the wastegate is running without a boost controller. Then the wg spring regulates boost to 7-8psi.

Well, if you're going to work on it yourself....do it right. Don't cut corners because you run into a tough spot. There are nice color big-size vacuum diagrams as well as the factory service manual you can download for free. No excuse for not doing things right. If you get stuck, put a picture up here and we'll help.

The good news is you can get a vac chamber for just a few bucks from the classifieds.

The not-so-good news is that changing the vacuum chamber involves removing a good amount of stuff.

tehn again teh vac chamber has only one hose going to it. if you want to test a different chamber before installing it just to be sure, you can always just route the hose up the the new chamber and set it somewhere easy to access. I mean..u can use just about any chamber that will hold vacuum and has about the same volume.
