Stuff the funnel in one end of the hose and ~3" of the hose in the fill hole (it just barely fits) stand up next to the car while holding the funnel and slowly pour in the oil until it just starts to spill out.

It's not that hard but can be a little messy. The Factory Service Manual (now searchable) is the only source you should really need. Page A-17.
I've changed mine twice and haven't had any problems with re-using the washers. You might be tempted to get above the fill hole by going through the shifter tunnel hole. I wouldn't. Any spills in your interior would not be good and the fluid, especially the synthetics, smell like ***. Get an in-expensive fluid pump. Various options but most don't cost that much. Teflon tape for the plug threads.
Most here use synthetic fluid, NEO, REDLINE or ROYAL PURPLE are popular.

But never use cold oil. Get it at least 80degrees or so, so it will pour easily through the tube. Last time I did it, I put the oil in the passenger footwell while the heater was running. That got it a bit warmer than room temperature, enough that it poured readily.
