Misfiring when passing 3k or WOT
Hey all,
I just replaced my rats nest and all of the soleniods in them. I double checked all of my vaccum hose wiring before i put the uim back on.. I went to start the car and it wouldnt turn over. So i pulled the plugs and did the "flooded engine" trick.. added 1 Teaspoon of ATF per rotor and it fired right up.. However whenever i try to pass 3K or if i floor it the car falls on it face and starts to backfire. If im easy on the throttle and dont build boost its fine untill around 3k 3.5k. I also noticed that it runs semi rough at idle. MY idle is 750 rpms. Any ideas.. I sprayed carb cleaner around the ussaly vaccum leak spots to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey bro,
Ive been in adzactly the same position as you, ive done everything this website has to offer and then some with absolutley no results, ( including all the ignition fixes)
The only thing I could recommend is to do a poor mans NON -SEQ mod and see if you still have problems. My problems mirrored adzactly yours and after doing this mod I've never had problems since which makes me think that my problem was isolated down to a vacume hose somewhere in my SEQ set up.
If all else fails, seek out a pro to sort it.

sounds to me like this is either a ignition/fuel delivery system problem,a vacuum problem or a clogged exhaust system problem.what kind of mods are you running?

if you havent already, change your plugs. you should change them after you blow out all the carbon and atf when you do this trick, the atf will foul your plugs.
