how to tell if i'm running lean??

93 rx-7 with cb,mp,dp,ic,bov 12psi. still running stock ecu. this car has had the same set up for over a year. how can i tell if i'm running lean? what tests can be run?

Well, the only sure fire way is to put it on a dyno with a wideband.

If you don't have access to a wideband (either dyno or mobile), you can get an idea by looking @ your plugs.

Black - rich
Brown - good
White - lean

Of course this isn't going to tell you that you are lean @ transition when your boost spikes to 14psi right before your motor pops...

My suggestion, spend $1000, get a PFC. It's cheaper than a new motor and will gain you some additional (safe) hp!

Yep, you can check your plugs or go to a dyno with a wideband. It shouldn't cost more than $50-75 for three runs with the wideband.

by your mods...I'd follow suit and get a computer! I wouldn't recomend running that setup for another year...
