There is actually a member who is working on replicating the window stickers.....they would be complete with all the proper options and all that. I need to find the link....
I've got my original sticker but don't have a scan of it.

Ok, so I edited the file to add my info and also colored blue the areas as needed. If anyone wants me to do it for them let me know. Lucky me the sample was the same year, color and r2 version as my car...

No, actually "they" (the car buying public) thought the car was ridiculously overpriced. One of the things that led to its extremely poor sales and overall downfall. For that price you could get a high-end luxury car like a Mercedes or BMW or Lexus. You could buy a Corvette. You could spend $10K less on a TransAm or Camaro SS and have similar performance, seat 4 and get the satisfaction of a rumbling V8.
The original RX-7 buyer were the MOST distressed of the group. After all, the FB came out and just trounced the Porsches and Triumphs and Datsuns of the time for significantly less money. $7900 - $9000 bought you this fine new little sports car. People saw the unpleasant trend of the future when the FC debuted at nearly TWICE that price, and true to form, the FD followed at over 3 times the price, ending up at 4 times the price with the last of the '95 models.
Mazda totally alienated the core group of people that made the FB such a runaway success.

Mazda knew what it was doing... they cornered the FB/FC market with the Miata. I don't think they ever planned on selling many FD's. It was meant to be more of an image car like the Supra and NSX.
