Antenna mod

Sooooo.. my antenna broke so it gives me an excuse to look for a replacement.

I ordered a hyperev mag and found a short little antenna that looked great. But everything's in damn Japanese so I can't read any of it.

Anyone know of a short antennae or something?

I don't want a hidden one. I've used a hidden one in my last car and it sucked. I just want one that goes with the looks of the car. That's why I figured to ask here.

I've always liked the Honda S2000 antenna.
I've seen it on many other cars, mainly Honda, but it will probably fit a FD too.

the s2000 antenna is a screw on type, if we can somehow get it to screw on the rx antenna then its cool.. i have one in the garage so i'll test it out one of these days.

Audi, BMW and Mercedes also have hidden antennas in there middle and upper class car lineup. Don't know exactly the models but perhaps they are a bit cheaper than aftermarket ones.

It's a well known mod down here in germany. Just my 2 cents...

How does a hidden antenna work better than a retracted stock one? I'd think they would both have poor reception.

...neither Audi, BMW or Mercedes would use antennas, that aren't as good as retracted ones. I'm sure you know the quality of these manufacturers...

But, needless to say, that way just a tip, trust me or not. But many tuners in europe do it this way, hard to believe that they all went wrong...

most of the hidden antennas have modules and use the rear window defroster strips as an antenna. Kinda trick.

hmm.. the s2000 one is kinda what I was looking for. I'm surprised there aren't many rx7 owners out there that have tried this.

I would do it to my FD. But, as mentioned earlier, a lot of Honda guys already do this.
