Problem setting up idle

I'm not new on the forum but just need help with a friend's car right now. His 88 turbo 2 have hesitating idle, hesitating low rpm problem. I adjusted the timing, I set the tps, no intake leaks. I got it better but still revs up and down on idle and hesitates on low rpm. His car don't have emmision and have a rtec 1.8 setup for 720cc injectors I believe so idk have to do anything with that. I haven't worked on a stock ecu setup in a long time. Just need some help if I'm missing anything. I appreciate it.

Where does the idle bounce between? And how quickly. A video would be great.

Ok guys come on I really need the help. Basicly all it does is goes into one rotor until you rev it up a certain rpm and clears up now this is what I have done and it got better but still not right. I adjusted the tps to 1k/ around 1volts and didn't work. Check the timing and adjusted it and didn't work. Hooked up the BAC and did help with the idle but now as soon I hit the gas goes in one rotor and stalled. Pulled the harness out and check for short and even I found one and fixed it still doing it. Changed the tps, afm, pressure sensor and got better but still doing it. Changed the turbo inlet help some but still doing it. I even change to a stock ecu to see if the ecu is bad and and still goes in to one rotor. I'm out of options and I don't know what else to do. I search alot and check tons of video and still no answer. I'm giving up with it and I feel bad with my friend about it. I hope someone have an idea of what else I can do. I really appreciate it

richen up the variable resistor and check for a cracked TID and vacuum leaks again, and again after that.

My 89 Tii has having the stumbling rev when you stabbed the throttle from idle like it didnt have accel enrichment. Sprayed around the injectors with brake clean and got what smoke out of the back(the vacuum leak). Turns out 26 year old injector diffuser/air bleed o-rings were rock hard and were a vacuum leak, the car got much better after replacing the air bleed sockets, diffusers, and o-rings.

Unplug the bac when its acting up and see if it helps. My bac sticks and acts similar to your issue. I know you say there isn't any vacuum leaks but what methods have you used to check for leaks? Most commonly a bouncing idle is because of vac leaks and or misadjusted tps.

Well is fixed now. I ended up taking the hole thing down to bare block. Idk if it was the primary injectors were not seated right or I did had another short somewhere but I stripped it and put everything with new gaskets and did a small rewiring. Now runs like a brand new car
