A Question
alright forgive my newbishness in all this but hey i gotta ask because dyno day is coming up in about 3 weeks.
can you change the settings of the wolf 3D ver. 3 without having to plug the memory cartridge into a cable on a laptp? i have a hand controller available and i wonder if that can be done with just the controller or does it need to be in conjunction with the laptop? thanks to anybody who can answer this for me. it'd be a good help

alright i guess it was a dumb question : \ perhaps i shouldve asked what are the consequences of tuning it without using the laptop. i knew you change the settings, but was wonderin pertaining to that. people have pre-set maps and such, but i dont have a cable for the memory card. i have everything else ready except that and porttalk.

If you search here for memory cable you should find a circuit diagram for the cable.
http://www.angelfire.com/droid/wolf3dems should have porttalk under Chris Ng's site. If you search port talk you should also find a batch file to run the Wolf 3d software using port talk. I have done this myself and I know it works. I wrote the batch file for my use. If you run into trouble PM me and I will give you my email address..
Cheers

thanks alot mr. smith, you've been very helpful by providin that info. now that i remember i believe you gave me this link long ago. funny thing is, i need the V3 manual now since i need to switch out my current wiring harness. just another mistake to fix that was done by previous owner.
ive gotten the program to run on my computer now, its just a matter of setting up the communication between it and the car's ECU. thanks for everything! if i get problems i will let you know
