new v1.66 software bug
Just wanted to give you guys a quick heads up on a little bug I found with the new version of the v4/400 software.. It's not too serious of an issue, but annoying..
For people who use the closed loop feature of the wolf, the new software will transmit incorrect data into the "Active After Time" value in the ECU ... This will potentially keep your closed loop from activating ..
ie: If you set your "Active after time" setting using the old version of the software (one without datalogging) or handcontroller, for example 45 seconds.. your closed loop should active after 45 seconds of run time .. however, if you adjust this value using the new software and transmit the value to the ECU using the new software, the ECU will end up recieving a value closer to 8000 seconds .. If you change the "active after time" value on the new software to 0 and then transmit the map, the ECU will retain the value that the map or handcontroller originally had (in this case, setting the value to 0 with the new software will keep the value at 45 seconds in the ECU) ...
I have not found any other inconsistancies so far with transmitted data.. making sure that fuel/timing points were not affected by a similar bug.. so with any luck, the new software will not cause a situation of blowing up your motor...
