wtf i need a new motor
I know how you feel, I just lost an engine during tuning when it had 0 miles on a fresh rebuild when it was towed into the shop to be finished, broke in and tuned. ****** sucks.
Motors don't blow up for no apparent reason. Sorry to hear of your loss. Do you remember any detonation when your foot was down? If you really detonated, a couple things, possibly in combination, could have happened:
1. Mixture too lean (bad/overworked injectors, failed fuel pump, boosting in really cold air)
2. Too much timing (Kan likely wouldn't mess that up)
3. Intake charge too hot
4. Bad gas.
Do you know what A/F ratio your car was tuned for? Do you have a dyno chart of the runs, and/or any datalogs from the runs? Did you check your map sensor hose to see if it's loose?
Learn as much as you can about what went wrong so it doesn't happen again!
EDIT: Another thing: you didn't state any information other than that "it blew up". Did you have oil pressure when the motor went, how were your water temps, etc... there's a lot of things that can happen that have nothing to do with the tune.

that's crazy, matt. I'm sorry to hear of your bad luck. I know I keep trying to talk you out of it.... BUT lucky7 might be able to fix it for a decent enough price. Last I used their services it was 650 to pull the engine and to rebuild it. (course you gotta supply the parts).

Mine lasted about a week after my tune from Neptune. Can't remember exactly 150 miles maybe and only 1000 miles on the rebuild. If you going to switch to LSx then here's a good source http://stores.ebay.com/Streetrodengi...Q3amesstQQtZkm
