Hi Nor Cal owners,

If you live in the bay area you know how expensive and hard to find a large garage space is. I was wondering if any one else out there would (as in a small group) would be interested in going in on a space together. There we could store/ work on/ learn about our cars do events etc.. I myself am in the north bay but would mind a central location like San Francisco. Let me know if this might be something you might be interested in.

bad idea getting a shop and sharing with others on the contract leads to a lot of problems down the road when somebody wants out...Money makes money, but at the same time money destroys friendships, bonds, and long term relationships...

better to just go in on the deal on your own, find a place suitable for yourself and within your price range...

Yeah, I tried to do that before (rent out a shop space)... So I got this back warehouse in Novato by sub-leting it from the main tenant.

All the guys that went in with me, ducked out around the 3rd month saying that they didn't need the space anymore, so they were not going to pay their share and I ended up paying the last 3 months of the lease myself. WTF did I need with 6000 sq ft of shop space, with only one car to do major work on.

 

agreed thats never a good idea. someone always ends up losing on the deal
