ok we got a hks like BOV on ebay, and its preaty loud my brother was siting in the house and we took the car out for a spin and were like 5blocks from the house and he heard the BOV. can i get pulled over for loud bov????????

 

You're in an FD, you're going to get pulled over.

Seriously, it would depend on your local laws, but where I live you can get a ticket for any excessive noise. I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for the BOV, usually it's exhaust or stereo, but it is possible.

I would think that you'd be safe though, since it's not a constant sound the cop may hear it once, think "WTF?" and not be able to tell where it's coming from. If he hears it more than once, then you're probably driving too fast and the cop will notice that before the BOV.

 

If the cop is having a bad day yeah they might. Theres plenty of other people out there with them as well.. Not quite sure if its THAT loud though... So you would definately be on the radar. Theyre going to try and corner you, ask to pop the hood and look for modifications... So don't be suprised there if they pull you over and ask for that.

Then with Fast and the Furious 3 on the way prepare for more treatment from the law. Its their job, can't really blame them.

Yeah, if i can get like 6 tickits for not having my license plate on the front of my car, you can get pulled over for having a loud BOV. It really depends on the cops in your area, the ones around here have nothing better to do than pull over kids with imports. I hope cops are more plesent around your town.

 

You can be damn sure a cop will pull you over for a BOV. My friend got pull over and the cop knew exactly where the HKS BOV was. He says it's not smog legal. Wrote him up for the BOV and exhaust...
