I am so glad to hear you're ok, and that is one beautiful Japanese replacement sports car.

I got this NSX through Manheim because they back vehicles they sell and if its not mechanically sound when it arives in phoenix (its being shipped from a UTAH dealer) then I can return it with no penalty. Its costing about 2000 to get it shipped with full insurance, and to have the ability to return it if its not what I ordered. Seemed steep at first to me but then i thought about the amount of work involved in getting an out of state vehicle title transferred to AZ before getting the financing done and I dont want to deal with it. Plus Mahheim will have it ready to drive away when I get it. Tags titles and liscences etc.

Plus they do a 100 point inspection to check for anything that was not disclosed properly by the dealer and same deal, I can send it back.

And lastly, they do a full detail on the machine. Engine bay and interior and exterior, including a buff and wax job.

The only disclosed defect on this vehicle is a small scratch on the rear quarter panel.

So im pretty happy and we'll see how it goes from here.

I am sad to be 'leaving' the rotary community, but my neighbor had an FD with a blown engine, so were gonna see if we can get my swap + the V mount back from insurance and put it in his car. So ill still have some doritos in the blood.

I'll get another FD someday, just not yet. not ready for that yet. I need to have a honda for a while again lol.
Dude... so glad to hear that you're OK. Just heard about your incident today, and MAN, good thing you didn't have a passenger with you. Guess I'm gonna have to find a new customer for my gunmetal RP01s huh? Too bad. They would have looked great on your ride. All this just after you get into the Japanese RX-7 mag. Totally not right. But, it could be worse. Get another FD bro and daily drive the NSX! Now is the time pricewise

Take care!

hehe guys
dont fret, im just not ready for another FD YET!

I will have another FD someday

This badass lil mama jama is just more practical for me right now.

But i will get another FD.

Yeah Tim, it was pretty bad, im very happy no one was seriuosly hurt.

My side is all healed up pretty much and my arm is nearly there. i just have no physical body strength at the moment and can only be up a few hours at a time.

but rest assured, i'll be back in the rotary world in a few years, when the time is right.

I cant resist doritos.

Yeah the other party has a lawyer so i take it they know that im not happy. I don want to sue them though, i just want to have it be there fault and thely eat my deductible lol.

i dont want to ruin anyone elses lives over a car, i just dont think its right i pay 1000 extra dollars because of their mistake that has been proven. I dont think i'll get it but im going to try.

And yes i like my subsitute car for until I can bear to own another FD again!

i paid for it today, it felt good! It will be in my hands next week

Wouldn't the lawyer fees outweigh the $1000 in like, 3 hours?

What a bummer... you guys worked so hard to get to 7stock with a fresh paint job, etc. etc. and then this.... Glad you're OK. That's one heck of a replacement car. I've always loved NSX's. Hope to see you again in an FD or some other rotary powered car.

ty ty!

i just wish i wasn't getting an NSX this way

My insurance called today and i am going to be fairly compensated it seems for the RX

The base price they are gving me AFTER deductible WIHTOUT mods or fair market value compensation which they are working on is 11k...Bryan at BNR is being kind enough to fax them the receipts for the turbines i recently purchased and installed, and then they are going to do the local market research to see what the local pricing on the vehicle is... which from what i've seen is about 15k.

So far basically half of my NSX has been paid off Very happy today!
