What to do on Oahu?

I will be on Oahu for a couple weeks. I am looking for fun stuff to do with my family. (Wife and 2 1/2 year old son)

Also, I am looking for out of the way places to eat, things to see and anything that will give us something to do. So far, my son has been since so we havnt done much.

Any suggestions would be great!

Ask around for local snorkeling. That was the first memory I ever had and I did it when I was 2 years old.

its a tourist trap but go Hanauma Bay on the west side, dunno if the blow hole is still blocked for some reason. really calm, can put floaters on your sons arms and he'll be okay. or if you're near the leeward side, go to ko'olina. They have little lagoons that are kewl.

can hike diamond head. pali lookout. oh, people talk about this shrimp truck in hale'iwa for eat. umm...if you're looking for good dining in, try restaurant row. Roy's original is there. There's lots to do, tryin to think of them all.

Don't we have locals on this board? i know i seen one or two, can't remember their forum handle.

check out Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Cultural Center, and Paradise Cove Luau. The beaches are great but Waikiki can get crowded. North Shore is pretty chill and has a lot of great beaches like Waimea. Hanauma Bay is pretty cool place to go snorkeling, I saw 3 turtles the last time I went. I say rent a car, it's easier to get around and you will be able to do more things. Enjoy man!

I have a rental car. Unfortunately, I came here from Japan for surgery, so doing a lot of activities isnt really an option for me. Checking out sites and whatnot will be fine once I heal up a bit. I had surgery yesterday so.... I will try to check out a lot of those places. I didnt realize all of that stuff was so expensive. Its all good though. The one thing I really want to do is go skydiving. We will see how I feel around the 14th of September.
