All the evidences are here. If you do not apologize at once and drop this extortion, I'll seriously consider a fraud claim.

Considering nature of the action by the buyer, I'm inclined to think that there's more victims. If that's the case, you're seriously jepordizing your life over greed of few hundred bucks or more as you can likely be faced with criminal suit. Think smart.
Jin, I'm sorry about the mix up. The issue should be resolved in 3-4 weeks, or at least that's what my dad told me. Please keep in touch with me, I believe I gave you my phone number. If you don't have it, I'll PM you just in case. Let me know when the issue clears up on your paypal.

Apparently, I was told there was some mixup with his creditcard and family matters. Sakura FC had contacted me through PM.

I'm hoping the chargeback will go away sooner.

i feel your pain. i got hustled for 2500 worth of parts i sold and charged through paypal. more so it's paypals fault. lots of internet merchants have been victims of this crime. paypal won't do ANYTHING about it. people are finding out that it's so simple to buy something and call your credit card company to claim credit card fraud. paypal is aware of this yet they do nothing. paypal even has the nerve to try to have me pay them back the money i got scammed for. screw that, im never paying them back and im never using paypal again. they even freeze up people's accounts for no good reason. i was told it's because they use people's funds for outside investments. **** PAYPAL. **** EBAY.

In retrospect, I have to admit, it does sound shady. But like I said, it was just more convenient for the both of us if I just picked it up in person. The reason why is because LA is only about an hour away from Irvine so if I were to pick it up in person, it would cost me about $20 in gas, versus if we were to ship it, it would cost about $100+. Plus I got to meet a fellow forum member which is always a good thing.

I had not seen this thread in the "west section" until today.

Ricky had been in contact with me via facebook and was very responsive. The past week or 2 weeks there has been no response to any of my facebook or email messages to him. I am fully aware how "F'd" up paypals system is and understand these things take time however we are getting close to 2 months now. Ricky has moved or is in the process of moving from Irvine up to Earlimart California. I have spoken with the police and they gave me some helpful advice about how to resolve this without having to file charges. I have emailed Ricky an invoice for the Infini (efini) FC seats that I sold and hand delivered to him in July. This invoice has a signature for delivery confirmation and once I get that back I will be able to submit it to paypal and hopefully get a quick resolution... Paypal had sent Ricky a similar affidavit for his father to fill out, sign and send back to them in order to ge this finished 3 weeks ago however for whatever reason his father was unable to get that sent back to paypal...

Ricky (SakuraFC). Both Jin and I are trying out hardest to be patient and we both do not want to see you get a criminal record over this. We had both agreed from the beginning that our face to face dealing with you did not add up to you being a scammer and we wanted to resolve this in a way that would be as painless to all of us as possible. Thank you for posting up your contact info and your responsibility for this situation. With a problem like this constand communication is needed and we really need you to put pressure on the credit card company to get this fixed ASAP. U have sent you 2 facebook messages and 1 email that you have not responded to...

Update!

So I called paypal today to see what is going on because the issue has not been resolved. According to them, they received a cancellation for the chargebacks in September, but they said Credit card companies have policies regarding chargebacks and it could take up to 75 days on paypal's end, not including any time that it takes credit card companies to do whatever it is they need to do. The account specialist told me to be patient as these things could take quite a bit of time and the process is lengthy. She also told me that paypal will be contacting everyone involved with updates, so hopefully they do that soon!

In the meantime, I guess all we can do is be patient and contact paypal with updates.

Oh and with the affidavit: The one that you sent me via email was the wrong one. Nevertheless, after talking with a paypal representative, it seems like everything is in the works.

I did not send you the affidavit. And No, not everything is in the works, you're taking away my ability to engage in internet selling/buying, and there's a certain time value of money matter.

Why would I have to put in $470 for 75 days on your mistake and negligence and your non cooperation, even if after 75 days later somehow your creditcard paypal decides to fund me back?

It is your mistake and negligence that is costing me not only my time but my headache and ability to sell, there's a potent opportunity cost here that had been taken away from me for month and a half already.

I need this fixed right now.

The wait isn't my fault. As soon as you and Tom contacted me about the issue I set out to correct it. I did everything that I could do within reason. It's not my fault that paypal and the credit card company takes so long to clear the issue up.

As for an update, I texted you this morning asking if your money had been given back to you. As far as I know, Tom said that he got his money back as well as the person who I bought coil overs from. (I believe his sc was Jcross?)

I know I'm going to sound like a dick by saying this, but to be completely honest with you, the inconvenience you are going through is the last thing on my mind. I have other more important responsibilities that I have to turn my attention to. I could have easily just said "**** it" and not taken care of the issue at all. It could have gone to court and both your time and money would have been wasted with legal issues and lawyer fees.

However, I did what I could to resolve the issue. I even gave out personal information on a public forum, choosing not to screw any club member over. Again I apologize for this happening and it shouldn't have, but it did and I set out to correct it.

As I stated before, my paypal account was frozen as well and I had to deal with the same issues of not being able to buy or sell anything until recently. I also had to deal with the issue of being labeled a thief and dishonest person.

As far as the affidavit is concerned, I should have been more specific. It was Tom that emailed me an affidavit, but the one he sent me was the wrong one.

Please keep me posted as to whether or not you got your money back. If not, then I need to contact paypal to see what the hold up is.

I did get my refund in a timely fashion for my s5 tails that were sold and shipped to sakura_fc. I beleive my case was easier for paypal to determine as i provided a shipping number and proof of signiture confirmation. This process was easy and even after it was dealt with ricky stayed in contact just to make, straight up dude and mistakes do happen.

Just to reclarify in this thread as I did in my bad guy thread.

After about 3 months my money has been returned to me minus $20 for paypals worthless efforts.

SakuraFC / Ricky did keep in contact with me and did continue to cooperate with me throughout the process. There were periods of no communication but nothing out of the ordinary.

My advice to those reading this is:
Dont accept paypal for items picked up or personally delivered.
Dont trust paypal to do anything for you... ANYTHING !
Dont keep a significant amount of funds in your paypal accounts.
Always keep receipts to any shipments.

And lastly you should all know that Paypal is completely at the mercy of the credit card companies. In our case Ricky even called paypal and told them the chargebacks were a mistake but Paypal had no power in the situation and had to await the credit card companies decision.

Ricky and I have no hard feelings or problems due to this and I would not hesitate to do business with him again in the future (just no more credit cards hahahaha).

Thanks
Tom

Which is why when in a similar situation I bypass Paypal and go directly to the credit card companies. Also why I always fund with my credit card rather than the default deduct funds from my bank account.

I received a text this morning from Jin stating that he got his money. So everything is all cleared up and everyone has their money.
