anyone had experiance or know a good shop to polish said parts?

You're going to pay top dollar for polishing if you take it somewhere. DIY it's a lot of time but not very difficult. Sand it down so you have a nice flat surface then use a softer sand paper to take out big scratches then polish away with a dremal, buffing wheel. Took me about 20hrs to do my UIM.
