No, it will be 5-6 cars/day. It looks like this will turn into a 3 day weekend for me.

man seems like PISTONS stopped posting in this thread on 1/11, no status or updates and then he comes back on when HIKARU nudged this thread foward and puts himself at the top, then no other updates since 2/21...i am waiting on the side lines to see if there would be room and the cost of dyno, but based on PISTONS attention to this thread, (or lack there of) i think i will wait until the next visit from steve kan. Unless someone else TAKES CHARGE...my vote is for HIKARU....please take no offense, just stating what i observe.

"puts himself at the top,"

This is my Post right? I had tryed to get it going before but nobody sent me any deposits the only one I have is mine and thats not enough. If you need more info go to http://www.rotaryx.com/stevekan/request.html nothing has changed same Paypal. You are stating only what you have observed you have not read my PM's right? I am tired of hearing people that want there cars tuned but make no effort talk is cheap. I think it would be best if you waited until next tune session based on my observation.

Paypal is chuchamica@yahoo.com $200 deposit towards your tune $75 dyno fee and you must have a wideband or a second bung installed. The date as we know it is April 15 We will have to have the deposits in 4 weeks in advance. I will check into the new 2007 pricing and post it up.

The new 2007 Pricing

In order to make it fair for everyone in the tuning session, below is the new tuning price structure.

$350 - Stock turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - aftermarket turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - aftermarket turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - aftermarket turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

By doing so, it'll allow me to gauge my time allocation to the consumer instead of rushing on those that needed more attention in the map.

Here is the estimated time frame allocated for each type of tuning.

stock turbo - 45 mins - 1.5 hrs
aftermarket turbo (pump gas) 1hr - 2.5 hrs
aftermarket turbo (race gas and/or auxiliary injection) 2 - 4hrs
aftermarket turbo (2 maps) 3-6 hrs

I'll be sending my deposit later today.

So where is the finalized location going to be?

Also, anyone know of the best station for race gas? I found that some Sunoco stations have 100 octane and some 76 ones that have 104.

PISTONS,
I sent you a deposit ;] I included my name, desired tune date/time and a contact phone # along with the $200 deposit.

Based on what Steve Kan said earlier regarding making the tuning session a 3 day affair I have posted an update on my name (I contacted GoRacer).

RR&R is a great shop and I am glad to know it is going to be hosted there again.

1. Pistons
2. GoRacer - street and race tunes
3. Hikaru - DEPOSITED, Sunday first tune of the day, 99 twins tune.
4. i_am_jon ( i would like the 1st or 2nd spot on sat. 4/14 unless the people up top want them.)
5. atihun

OK, so if I want two maps; 1 pump @ 16lbs & race @ 20lbs then that's $400+$450=$850 + $225-$450= $1,075-$1,300? That's some serious duckets!

why is that? doesn't RRR have a wideband?

I neither have a wide band or a 2nd bung. Steve has normally used the dynos's wideband whenever I've seen him tune. Can you clarify why this is necessary?

I'll be sending my deposit upon response.

Thanks.

I quoted what Steve had said in regards to the wideband and second O2 bung. Thanks guys for helping me getting this going. I did receive your deposits and so far first come first serve, so those who wait will not have prime time choices.

My understanding you need your own wideband or 2nd bung if your street tuning, and of course the dyno has its own wideband.

I just called Louie @ RRR. I was a little confused with the whole wideband thing as I didn't need anything the last SK tune at RRR in 10/06.

Basically Louie said that they run their wideband on the dyno, then SK has another wideband in the back.

Keep in mind that I don't know **** about widebands etc other than its a measurement tool. So I'm just repeating what i was told so if it makes since, great!

Otherwise, I asked him if I just have a Apex PFC and thats it, is that sufficient to tune? the answer was yes. (my car is running 99 twins only).

No two maps will be $600

$350 - Stock turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - aftermarket turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - aftermarket turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - aftermarket turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

There might be some confusion. I recall from the last inquiry that some may want street tune. If that is the case, it is best to have their own wideband or an extra O2 bung so that I can place my wideband for tuning.

I have tried to put my wideband at the exhaust pipe while driving in the street, I ended up damaging my sensor and lost the vice-grip when hitting a bump.

It is really the prefer way if the stock equipped turbos has an extra O2 bung in place for my wideband sensor.

If we are doing all tuning on the dyno, I can put my wideband along with the shop's wideband for reference.
