Tickets, Tickets, And More Tickets!
And i don't mean ball game tickets or concert tickets. I mean cop tickets. It is getting really bad here in San Diego with cops stopping people for really stupid stuff. Another friend of mine got a ref ticket with his RX-7, then a friend of mine got his 240SX taken for good, because he was driving his car before he got the ref ticket signed off. The courts denied his request to get his car back. So it's going to the clunker bill. Another friend of mine got a ticket for get this, going 4 miles an hour over the speed limit. Cops are being told to issue tickets on every thing that they can find. My friends girl friends brother is a CHP officer, and he told me a couple of weeks ago that in a meeting, they were told by the captain to issue tickets on anything that they can find. This is of course to generate revenue for the city/state. Not for a quota. He also told me that if you are given a ref ticket, you are given a second chance to keep your car. By getting it taken care of and putting your car back to stock, but if you abuse it and get cought driving your car without getting it taken care of, or get cought a second time after you took care of the first one, you will be ordered to forfeit your car for a whopping $1,000 and then you will be forced to buy a hybrid or newer car. The city is praying that people who get ref ticket drive there cars when they are not supposed to, this is a way for the government to take control of what we drive/own. So guys, really watch how you drive, and put those cars back to stock so we don't let our government win us over. Just food for thought.
dude this is not new news to any of us...are you just now catching on hahahah...tell us somthing new we don't know, they have been cranking down on people/kids alike for or with modded cars since i don't know how long uuuuuhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm maybe 99!!! I can honestly say track not street or don' **** with the car scene at all...Its not worth modding cars then daily grinding them then crying or venting about it later when he/she get tickets...stop crying over spilt milk...suck it up
Up here in oxnard I got pulled over cuz my car was smoking (bad water/oil seals), and I have RB headers, RB PP presilencer and Apex'i N1 2.5" header back and all he told me was "Have a good day" of course it helps that he's retired Navy and I'm active duty navy.

what the hell teddyrx2. you are not a nice person from what i read on this forum. it seems your out to get everyone, or say things to be-little people. every time i read a reply from you, you have nothing but negative things to say about people. I don't know you personally, and i don't think i would ever want to.

I've never been troubled? Are you sure your not just being a bad boy? My car looks like junk and has stickers everywhere.. like covering the passenger side of my windshield and my car is pretty loud and has no front plate.. Cops just look at me but never pull me over because I obey the law and pay them promptly when they pull me over.. ha just kidding about the bribing part.

I've never been troubled for this either... and would pass any visual inspection anyway.
Next year is going to be hard for me to take, though... my '80 would have become exempt next January, if that pathetic girly-man Governor Arnold had been able to keep his shrivelled 'roid-ravaged ***** out of his wife's green purse and not screwed up the smog laws.
Not that I'm, you know, bitter or anything.

your view will change when it happens to you. Ive been there done that. Some guys are lucky to not have it happen to them, hence their opinion is "if you obey the law, you wont get touched"...
