Isn't break-in on the order of a thousand or so miles? I'd expect it to be around there or more if my housings are re-usable

It would be sweet for sure, bringing your old car to the track! Even though it does look a bit different than when you had it.

I've got two different "types" of break-ins. The first one I tell my customers to be on the safe side...500 miles if the bearings are original, and 1000 if it has new bearings. If its my own personal car I usually start raping it at 100 or so miles...300 if the bearings are new. Used housings will take longer to break in the apex seals but this will manifest as lower compression until they seat completely...in my experience they don't care if they get raped or not.

Hehe for a second I thought you were the other driver that send payment this weekend...

It's first come/first serve for the drivers...whoever sends in payment is guaranteed a spot. There's 6 spots remaining and I've got three drivers telling me there gonna send in payment over the next week. So if you want to go, shoot me a PM for my PayPal addy and when I get payment you'll be guaranteed a spot.

Is this per car or per driver? I would be sharing my car with another driver and am wondering if we could split our share of track time for the price of 1 spot?

Thanks!

The fees are per driver, but I could give you a discount for sharing the same car. PM me for more info.

UPDATE - I'm going to allow 22 drivers total for the event, to give people time who've asked me about coming to the event but haven't registered yet.

No charge for ridealongs...but you can only ride with an "instructor". Which means take your pick of 1st gen, 3rd gen, or Miata.

Willow Springs does charge a gate entrance fee of $10 for everyone however...the fee is good for the day.

I would love to go but I'm still working on the car. I will let you know by next week, to see if my budget will allow me to finish things up before the event. Where can I get a cheap helmet? Also I will share my ride with my brother, Let me know how much?

If you're sharing the car with your brother, then you both have to run in the same group and you each will have to share the 3 and a half hours of track time. The price is $154 via PayPal, send me a PM if you want the address.

Hurry with your registration, there's only 2 spots left as of tonight!

Only way I can reserve a spot is with a payment of the driver's fees. Hopefully there will be a spot left by Wednesday...we're down to 2 spots left as of this morning. Check back in this thread for updates.
