Well I was stoked cuz it's friday today and the weekend is breathing down my neck. I get in my company car, (a 2003 Grand Prix), and head out to work. I pull up to a stop light just blocks from my house.... and BAM...

Passing right in front of me is a beautiful Brilliant Black3RD Gen RX7. The RX7 was northbound on Genesee Ave. passing through Clairemont Mesa Blvd. I tried to catch up... but San Diego traffic ya know. It went whizzing by pretty quick. Looked to have the 99Spec front and wing.. but couldn't see real well.

Anyone...???


So then I get off the 52 @ Convoy and see another 3rd Gen sitting at a used car dealership... got some pics of this one. I think it was an automatic, but forgot to look just remembering off the glimpse of the shifter. Oh and take some of that crap off your car. Like the Stickers that look like they were a prize in a cereal box. The hood emblem and rear emblem are stickers....

Anyone even want to claim this one??









And then i saw a Green touring with tan interior, parked on Mercury street just south of Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

Anyone???


But all in all i'd have to say it's been a good friday so far....

yeah it had a spoiler... looked to be 99 pec too.. but not sure... was goin by pretty fast and i wasn't really payin attention...

 

Last week while at work in Rancho Santa Fe, a red FD passed me... it had aftermarket wheels and exhaust. Also a silver touring model around downtown. No clue as to who the driver/ owners are.

 

The Silver Touring Model might be mine. I live downtown but work in Solana Beach. I drive my Silver Touring FD a couple days a week. Car looks stock but has larger brakes and some custom front brake ducts built into the lower lip spoiler.

I want to come to one of your meets sometime soon. I'll be at Mazdafest at Buttonwillow in May. Where do you guys meet exactly on Tuesdays and when?

hey you ever drive down mirmar? somebody in a silver FD follwed me a bit at 9am one day, have only seen him once since.

the meets are at fusion cafe on clairmont mesa, across the street from cheetahs. if you show at about 8:30 9 you are sure to see a few fellow 7 owners. all the guys there are nice though.

 

yeah i saw a nice yellow fd in mira mesa. Oh wait it was me. hahaha im an idiot.

 

I'm going to try to make the Fusion Cafe meet tomorrow night. Anyone else with a 7 gonna be there?

It was nice to meet everyone who was at Cafe Fusion tonight! I'll see all of you again I hope. Ok... off to bed.

 

I am pretty sure the white FD is automatic. I think I tested drove the car 3 years ago at Miller. It was trade in for the Montego SUV. The first owner was Japanese girl.

 

The white FD looks like "Fumanchu's" old car which he sold a while back. It had a '99 lip, black stock wheels, and an idiot box transmission. Maybe the body work was put on by the new owner?

 

I wish I can make the meet one of these days.....
Living in Chulawana is such a pain coming up to Clairmont.

if it had a 99 spec lip, it might of been Patrick. He's another local. Ive run into him on miramar before too.

 

Yeah that was probably Patrick. He lives in Mira Mesa and works in Sorrento Valley (I think).

But who knows... there are actually hundreds of FDs in San Diego County.
