my 10th anniversary just got stolen 11/18/04 in el cajon area. If anybody has seen it in the san diego area, please let me know. It is white with white wheels, all stock except for exhaust and an hks filter. Please keep an eye out guys. It is missing the flash to pass lenses and has a mazdatrix sticker on the top middle section of the rear window. thanks.

i bounce from NC to el cajon all the time, man. white on white sticks out like a sore thumb. hard to miss. my buddy had his FC stolen twice in el cajon and got it back both times. kids joy riding is what it turned out to be, i guess the thrill or some weak *** **** fuels these **** heads to take someones car. you have no thieft detourent the club or something ? me , on my T2 i use a big *** chain and wrap it around the clutch pedal, tight with a big *** master lock and the other end gets wraped around and through the steering wheel, tight and then locked with another big *** master lock. i make sure the chain can be seen if someone walked by without really looking in the car. to cut the chain with bolt cutters one would have to have the largest bolt cutters made. i'll keep my eyes open for 'ya, man.
btw. my buddy found his car both times less then a mile from his pad, washington / south second.

You need to install a fuel cut switch in the car. I use that to shut the car on and off but it is a great way to make it harder to steal. Also if I am going to have my car parked for a while I also reach under the steering wheel and pull the ignition wiring harness out. I figure if they can plug that back in and figure out the fuel cut switch well damn they are going to get the car.

That's a good idea. I have a fuel cut switch, but I don't use it much, and it's in a prominent position (center console).

I'm thinking of redoing the ignition system with a "proximity device" and a push to start button, so I just have to get in the car, flip a switch, and start it (I don't like having my keys dangling down, I have a large keychain). If a little transmitter was in the car, it would work, otherwise not.

I might relocate mine. It would not be hard to make it just about unstealable.

Have you called the cops yet? If you report it stolen and a cop punches up the license plate and sees it as stolen it will be considered a felony stop. Hope you get it back. I know how you feel.

had alarm and a fuel cut-off switch ?? the only other way to get it would be to use a tow truck, flat bed.... unless it's someone you know , who knew about your car, and you. who do you know with a garage and a dead FC. you can call the casino's and ask if such a car had been in the parking lot(s) you know every inch of those places can be seen. camera's everywhere and recorded... you never know.

I'll just underscore a point from one of the other posts....

1) It's likely to be someone who knows you and your car (and its security measures) and perhaps sees it parked at the same location often;

2) And someone with access to a tow truck, say through a friend or a shop.;

3) I REPEAT: Carefully think about those who know about the existence of your car--it's likely one of them and not OVERHAULIN' or Father Joe.

4) There is also the Mexico factor.... Many cars wind up there.

I guess I've been lucky, I live in the area and have not had any problems.

Sorry, hope you get it back.

Chris, those f**kers better get the car back man, hopefully itll show up somewhere close, within a mile or something (still intact). i mean ****, the only things we had in there were your jack, the speakers, the amp, NO STEREO, and some other misc stuff. OH BTW PPL, IT HAD TEXAS LICENSE PLATES AND STOCK 10AE (ugly) white wheels, just had to get that out there just in case no one got that b4.

plate #

I forgot to post the plate #. It has a TEXAS PLATE ON BACK with a cali red square sticker in the front right side of the windshield. SHH-65S is the number. I got a call of a turbo II last night in mira mesa from a friend with rotor badges on the side and white wheels. I couldnt make it out there though. So keep an eye out in mira mesa area. Maybe they already swapped my parts. The tires where 205/50/16 falken ziex on the front and 225/50/16 on the back so they look staggered. Thanks again guys.
