swap emissions in az help

I have a 94 fd rx7 with 2002 ls1 swap with ls6 intake headers and lunati vodoo cam. I am planning on moving back to az and emissions testing concerns me. I dont know if it will pass the test. Anyone know of a way around this? Or Ideas how to get it to pass? I was thinking getting a separate tune to put on the car when taking it for emissions.

Collectors insurance/registration is the easiest way around emissions in AZ

You can register the vehicle in a county that does not requires emission testing. Its not that difficult.

according to the website if you work in an area that has emissions testing then you have to have your car inspected and tested. I plan on working all over the phoenix metro. I can take the chance and hope that i never get caught but, if you get caught its a pretty hefty fine and they can take your plates and keep you from re-registering that car until it passes.

First go see how bad it is. Ls1 is a pretty clean engine. Do not change the tune.
Bolt up a cat and a electric air pump like used on saturns. U'll need a check valve so it doesn't push exhaust gass backwards through the pump. Use a laser temp to see if cat is getting hotter when pump is running.

How exactly are the DMV or Police going to know where you work?

Collectors Car insurance does not have a mileage limit. All the limit on miles does is change your yearly premium. I believe mine is set a 10K per year.

Hagerty's collector car insurance premium is based on planned mileage driven; it is in tiers. BUT you do need another regular registered and insured car in order to get the FD collector car insured AND registered in the state of AZ.
