Steve Kan Tuning in So Cal?

I need to get my car tuned soon. I was wondering if anyone else is interested in getting their cars tuned by Steve Kan? Just trying to gauge interest. I was planning on getting tuned sometime in Janurary.

Nor Cal is a bit far especially since i have to trailer my car there.

As far as costs. You're looking at the following plus Dyno Rental Cost.

$350 - Stock Turbo up to 12psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$400 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 16psi of boost (pump gas only) 1 map
$450 - Aftermarket Turbo from 16psi - 25psi of boost (race gas and/or auxiliary injection only) 1 map
$600 - Aftermarket Turbo up to 25psi of boost (pump gas and race gas tune) 2 maps

On all tuning sessions there is a Non-refundable $200 deposit.

Hi Simon, where are you located? I got some parts going in to my FD over the winter. I would like to schedule tune perhaps after new years?

Simon.. (yes, I am a Simon too)

i'm thinking sometime in janurary or feburary. I just rebuilt my motor and just dropped it in. still have a few things to finish up and break it in.

Anywhere in the So Cal Area should be fine with me. If we get a few more people interested i can call around for dynos.

Just curious why you just don't go to Nelson at RRR? Her is about as high a rated Haltech tuner there is.

sweet i think we're getting close! any idea of when you guys would prefer?
I'm running into some issues getting a EMS right now, which is setting me back a bit. I might have to go with a universal series 2.

@ ABC - I've paid anywhere from 600-1500 for dyno Tunes before. I think his pricing is fairly cheap.

i'm probably janurary/feburary too. my car is almost done. just doing wiring and little stuff.
I will ask around for Dynos.

So List of People

1. Hi Im Simon
2. Integral
3. jdskin
4. seamore
5. anderdick88
6. CBowerBank
7. JDRX-7

I'm guessing Weekend is best for everyone? I can probably get the dyno cheaper on weekdays, but i know it will be hard for everyone.

Well I'm interested. My car is going to the shop in January so that would be the only thing that would keep me from attending.

Where are you planning on having this?

Not bashing...I was just curious because I've always thought there is just a standard FLAT RATE fee depending on AWD/2WD and type of management systems.
As long as the motor runs great with longetivity then I guess 1500 isn't bad considering its investment.

Hi all,

Please remove my name from the list, I am going to send my car in to get some work done at RRR, I figure I'll just get Nelson to tune it.

got it. updated list.

1. Hi Im Simon
2. Integral
3. jdskin
4. anderdick88
5. CBowerBank
6. JDRX-7

I contacted a few of my friends and was able to get a hookup on a Dyno. I can rent a Dynometer for a weekend for 500 dollars flat rate for 8 hours. The cost will be split evenly among everyone getting tuned. We just need to commit to a date unless it's too soon for everyone. I'm aiming for Janurary 28th or 29th if possible. What you guys think?
