What's up guys, as i was driving along contra costa blvd. today i spotted a red fd with and a carbon fiber hood. From what i got a glimpse of, his rims look like polished fikse's. This anyone on the forum or anyone you know? The guy driving it looked pretty young.

 

I drive along CC Blvd sometimes. I have a VR FD with black rims. I know of 2 other VR FDs running around Concord/P. Hill but none with a cf hood........

i think you saw johnny, met him over at m2 the other week. dont know if he is on the boards, but his cf hood is the authentic m2 one. such a sweet looking car.

 

the car did not have black rims evil. but that probably was him scratch.

 

How many of you guys go to DVC? I saw a what looked like a black base in the upper parking lot with a n1 exaust, enkei rims and a larger stock looking wing like the racing beat one.

 

i go to dvc. heh, this will be my first semester there with the fd since i picked it up just this last summer.

ive seen him at dvc multiple times. i tried chasing him on foot once, but it was so dayam hot i gave up after the first step.

my red fd has the following to prove it!:

front lip
rear wing
two oil cooler
black suede bucket seats
strut bar
z rated tires from factory

i remember you asking me that my tires aren't stock, i've read on a magazine that the r1 model has z-rated tires! that don't come in the base or touring models. the bridge stone s01s on my wheels are z - rated!

call mazda.. ill give you my vin!.. hehe

BTW..I went to the dealer to look at the RX-8. I drove past the dealership, I parked about 6 blocks away, he walked all the way down and met me at the door of my car (worse than a damn ambulance chaser) and started talking to me about the rx8. He didn't even know I was going to the dealer ship. Anyway, he said "I had a Montego Blue R1. It was nice with leather interior, but I didn't have the Wing option, but I had the sun roof".

Then he said that unlike the rx8, the rx7 did NOT have 50/50 weigh distribution so that and the lack of torque makes the rx8 handle better.

You sure its a R1?? (Im just givin' you a hard time).

I go to DVC, this is my first semester there. Im there mondays wednesdays and fridays. I got a red FD with some new AME rims. I work at the Mazda dealership in Walnut Creek on Modays and Wednesdays from around 11 to 6 so if any Rx-7 owners want to stop by and chat, I'm always down for looking at some Rx-7's!

I work as a detailer for the sales department, but i also do odd jobs for the service department so kinda sorta both.
