Somewhat of an odd request..
Ok here's the deal. I've just about had it with trying to figure out my turbo problems (3rd gen) and I'm VERY close to going FULL non sequential.
I'm wondering if anybody in the 213/323/626/818 area code would be kind enough to take me for a ride in their non-sequential rx7. The reason is, i don't want to do this semi-permanent mod, and come to find that i can't live with the lag. I'd like to get first hand experience with the difference so that i could finally decide if non-sequential is for me.
I'll gladly buy lunch if somebody is willing to take me for a spin in their non-seq. set up. If anybody is willing, please let me know. Thanks!

I'm Non Sequential....
Actually I'm Non Turbo !
I used to have a Non-Seq. Setup... for what it does... removes that unpreductable transition, it's a noticable lag... as it it feels more like a turbo car... with the stock 7 non-seq. it's basically ALWAYS on turbo... with Non-Seq. you can feel it kick in, and push you, and it doesn't let up...
I know that doesn't help you with your drive, but I thought I'd share my experience, rather than just make a stupid comment...

Thanks D-Crosby, it helps. I've done lots of research on the non-seq set up, I just need some empiracle satisfaction of knowing that I could life with it.
Have you ever been in/driven an Evo? How does the lag of the non-seq compare to one of those? I'm just looking for anything that could give me some sort of comparable knowledge if i can't ride in one.
The way i see it, at the moment, i could drive between 2-3k rpms in all the gears and i'll be fine in regards to daily driving on the current twin set up. I just want to make sure i don't gotta rev to 4k+ in order to feel any power with non-seq. Out of couriosity, when did you feel the boost start building ?

Non seq. is not that bad. It only seems like lag to people that have only owned a stock fd. The boost still comes on by 4k.
To me a stock FD doesnt feel fast. It is, it just doesnt feel like it. Non sequentail feels faster because of the boost kicking in. It will also be more impressive to people riding in your car.
It is easy to do it with a few piece's of bailing wire. And is totaly revesable. Just so you can get a feel for it.
Just search for - poor mans non sequentail
