We're gonna need pics brotha.

I was washing my car yesterday when my dad and I started to go to town on the car. I took rubbing compound and got the chick who rear ended me's paint off the back of my bumper. We then took a plastic cleaner spray can and sprayed the front and rear bumpers (after using polishing compound and buffing them), as well as the mouldings around the car. We only sprayed half of the car to see how long the plastic polish stays on, but the plastic looks gorgeous when we did so. I will definitely be using a can of this stuff before Sevenstock. I'm also going to spend this summer spray painting the black plastic around my hatch, my external front and side window seals, as well as my side mirrors. I'll let you guys know how it goes, with before and after pictures.

No, I wish. Sounds like you spent a full day on your car, so did the rear bumper rub out? Hey I am going to be out near you tomorrow before you go to work, I will call you tonight to see what is a good time to get together. I will bring that cruise control switch so we can put that myth to rest!

^I wish the oil and filter I buy was anywhere near that cheap. Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5qt and the $12 oil filter comes out to $60. I spoil my car.

Oh yeah Jason I hope you get that thing cleaned up real nice.

Okay I have a story and I'll try to make it short as I can.

Today in class we brought in our cars and I got to check my brakes, check Exaust Emissions (which was real fun) and preform a Diagnostic Scope. The last one pretty much looks how the current flows to the spark plugs.
So my brakes are good but my rotors are going to need replacement soon.
Emissions: at idle my HC (Hydrocarbons) were at 1052 and then I ran it at 2000rpm and it went up to 1345! This kid after me that had a 2002 Toyota Camry his was 107 for HC, 13 of his cars would be one of mine lol!

Okay the bad part. The leading spark plug in Rotor had no reading, and my car is miss firing it always has I just thought it was from other emissions related issues. So now I'm going to check for spark this weekend and then grab a coil for the leading side from a junkyard or maybe somebody off the fourm and see what I can fix or change.

My bumper came out pretty darn good. After lots of TLC and a decent amount of rubbing compound, I got all the other person's paint off my car and the touch up paint I ordered really filled in the giant chips of my bumper well. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I put a lot of time into cleaning my car up today too! Started at 1:30pm, breaked for 20 minutes of dinner and went right back at it until 11:30. I'll have to finish up tomorrow but I'm happy how the car turned out after the polish, wax, and buffing.

Wow man that is absolutely ridiculous. You're missing an entire spark plug's ignition? That will give you a little more power and clean up your emissions a bit after you fix it.

Prior to the accident drama, she became no virgin to the snow. Took her on a trip to visit family in Utah and ski back in December. I was surprised it had no trouble starting up in the mornings when it was like 20 degrees outside! The only problem I encountered was the windshield washer fluid either froze or the pump motor froze, so I had no way to clean the windshield while on the road. I need to figure out a fix for the next trip up. Anyone have any ideas?

50/50 mix of washer fluid and antifreeze? I'm sure your family knows how to fix it since they live in snow.

Yeah I will have to check with them on that. I have not had a chance to look for the cruise control unit, but it is on my list.

Yeah I haven't had time to superglue my broken one yet either. Maybe Thursday I will.

Might be time to replace your rad cap, Macz... overpressure could be causing your leaks.

Good possibility, I fixed the heater leak, the turbo coolant return is the culprit now.

Hell yeah it is!

Problem ended up being a busted rubber hose... I have the turbo/manifold out anyway since I need to replace the exhaust gasket. I love old cars
