What happened to the guy in the civic at the end last time? He just disappeared?

 

I believe he was with the guy in the RED EVO 9. They didnt eat lunch with us after the cruise.

I'm planning to, for the meet at least. Not sure if my stock setup is fast enough to keep up with you maniacs on the cruise, though, & I'm not real happy with my suspension just now.

I think we may have an out-of town guest showing up, too. Fellow first-genner, recently transplanted to Texas, back for a visit.

 

I didn't have time to read more than a few pages back and was wondering what time you guys usually meet at pirate city? I noticed a couple other people have asked but no one has answered.

Its 9. We meet at 9 and leave for the cruise at 10.

What's the schedule like for Adams on Sat? What time is Time attack, drift? I'm thinking I would like to do the time attack, if my car survives a round or two I might try my hand at the drift. That is if I can get my E-brake to work ;P

Figured out a good part of my handling issues last night; idler arm has gotten wobbly. Like, visibly. Allows about a quarter-inch uncontrolled rotation on the right front. That'd explain the crabbing and wander I've been feeling in the steering, especially when going from accel to decel.

I want to get a Moog arm, but its gonna take a couple days to get one, I think. Gotta fix it before I ruin my new tires!

Front bearings were a little looser than I'd want, too, but they were easy enough to readjust.

Entropy just sucks.

 

Idler arm? You mean tie rod? I believe that idler arms are found in parallelogram steering with steering gears, not rack and pinion steering.

 

You are correct... and the SA first gens are parallelogram designs. I don't think R&P came out in the -7's until the FC's.

There are conversions for the SA's and FB's, but mine's original.

 

I just checked their schedule, grip @ noon and drift @ 5pm.
