in reply to guitarjunkie, 18 is a hispeed run, gmr is to see how well ur car is balanced for the twisties. u guys really want some highspeed and loopbacks, we can go to laurel canyon id rather do gmr than 18, just cuz gmr in reality is closer an u can roll ur car downhill if u **** it up ( i seen alot og 240's do that )

[FONT=Lucida Console][SIZE=4][COLOR=Red]im also looking for a 12a header, i dun wanna buy new so if someone has an extra one, let me know, and name a price

**** laurel canyon!!! there's that mossy **** that randomly grows in the road. not to mention random water patches at the end of blind decreasing radius turns.. i don't like my body kit all that much on the car, but i'd like to leave it on at least long enough to get a new one

What's your mods:

Talks cheap, put your HP were your mouth is It's all in fun anyways, nothing like racing another rotary. Next meet you guys wanna do GMR, Ortega's, Crestline, etc???
'93 RX-7 Touring
Haltech E6K
Half-bridge (porting done by GuitarJunkie)
Turbonetics T66
SR Motorsports 8.5" flywheel
3" exhaust with Racing Beat catback

Nothing really too special. I don't know how fast the car is in terms of 1/4 mile or how much horsepower I make. Unfortunately right now I'm on the stock intercooler, I'm waiting on finishing a Haltech job into a Mitsu Eclipse to get a Spearco to throw on there.

I did manage, however, to outrun a Ferrari 360 Modena at Willow Springs yesterday, on the straights (he couldn't take the turns, but that was driver, not the car). And before heat soak, I'd match up against my buddies C6 Vette. I couldn't outrun him, but he couldn't catch up to me. This was coming out of turn 7 and between 60 & 100 mph. I was impressed, with the correct intercooler and intake air temps down below 150, the car should be a hell of a lot faster. My boost controller is set to 8 psi but the car would constantly climb to 1 bar in 3rd and 4th. I could hardly hit full throttle, except for a couple times. In an attempt to help save the motor, due to the high intake temps, I never went above 7K, and ran a 80/20 mix of 100 octane & 91 octane.

I prefer twisties myself, cause I can't seem to launch well when I'm trying to drag. But I'm down for both. If were hitting up a canyon run, you definately won't catch me going ***** out - too much to lose with nothing to gain there - but on the track, I'll give 110% of what I've got.

Finnaly someone that I see Eye to Eye with! he he he, I am with you ont hat one Mazpower. I have ntohing against a spirited run in the mountains, but you just cant put it ***** to the wall. It's just not worth it.

You know the funnest thing i have done to date, is when I spun out at the SOLO2 track last time. that was a pretty fast spin (about a 40 MPH spin) seriously that was kick ***. I knew i was not going to hit anything, it was not illigal, but still so much fun, although it blew my good time to hell.

We should all get together and do a SOLO2 day. Scotty305 with the red third gen, myself, Cesar from the RX-8 forum, and osme of the other RX-8 guys like to SOLO2. We are planning on going to the DEC. 10th SOLO2 at Fontana. I would LOVE to see all of us ROTOR HEADS out there.

I think it's krazy to go all out in the cayons too.
One time when I first got my FC I was driving somewhere late at night and spun out in the rain around 50mph I thought I saw a kar that I was going to hit rear end first but it was just the traffic signal. good thing I didn't hit anything. the tires I had were bad and bald like James's tires.

yeah, there are some people on our runs that take our spirited drives up the canyons too seriously, and it is a danger to all of us...... so on our next meet, im gonna address the situation and hope it stops...... i dont want to see anyone lose their car due to someone elses stupidity..and i dont wanna see anyone get hurt! i understand freak accidents happen (i.e jill and ray ray)....theres nothing we can do about that! but ive been approached by a few people saying they were uncomfortable with who was driving behind them! and when driving through canyons, your focus needs to be whats in front of you, not having to worry about the person behind you.....

SO, ill mention it at the meet...but everyone, please be safe and a curtious while going through the canyons...stay off of the persons *** in front of you, and drive smart!

I can't agree more. I didn't get a chance to see the red 8 spin out, but from what I saw was that he thought it was cool and made him a hardcore driver. When I spun out....that scared the **** out of me. Let alone it could have turned into something else.

he spun out on the same turn everyone up there eats **** on. negative bank, decreasing radius turn.

do NOT use the apex in that turn or you'll eat **** every time. i've driven up and down that road 2000+ times

But you've got nothing to worry about, remember I don't know ****? I'm just a little nobody with a slow halfie FD. You'll run circles around me. I bow down to the great engine building knowledge of RiceBurner and the infinite power of his carbed 1st gen! After you beat me, can I be your groupie? Pretty please?

Anyways, so when we gonna race? And where?

Oh yeah? He looked like he was having fun out there. I LOVE the way OTR handled the event. I will definately be at all their track days for sure. Real laid back.

Thanks for the compliments on the FD. I'm just happy she drove home on all *intact* apex seals. When you can flog the **** out of a turbo rotary on the track, and drive home with no issues, then you had a good day.

No you didn't say I was slow but you did accuse me of "not knowing ****". Therefore I must be slow right? And where was I talking trash about your builder? You're on a forum, you've shown literacy, let me quote myself:

I bow down to the great engine building knowledge of RiceBurner...
To be honest, I can care less about your builder, and would have nothing good or bad to say about him, as I've never met him or seen his work in detail. I'm sure there are a lot of builders that can show me a thing or two, and I could reciprocate the same.

But anyways, back to my original question, which you have eluded so bluntly. When and where do you want to race? Or do you drop the challenge sir?
