"X" runs?

Does this allow someone to run during any class . . . .without being classed or getting points?

^Yeah.

It's a class free run. I think I'll do that one. My car is SM2, but I don't think I can handle that yet!

yes, you would be SM2 Rob.

I have asked if newbies can run X runs and run at the same time of night (1st half). there is some concern as to weather or not they will allow newbies to raec at all this time since its a night event. they are afraid newbies will have a hard time being as it will be night time.

I will let you know what the officials say. hopfully they dont care and let you guys in. It would be awsome to have all you come down and play with me. (ok, not that way)

if not then the normal day race will continue in September.

again, I will let you know.

Beagle. yes, X runs means "I have a car, I want to run a couple laps, I dont care abount points or classes, just let me play"

but in regaurds to classing. you wont be fast enough anyways to really make anyone protest you. but if you have something that is obvious like a huge wing, body kit, and your trying to run in a stock class, no you will get caught. and even if you do, it is safe to assume that you would be so slow no one would say anything anyways.

your port would not allow you into STS2 (unless you read something I missed). but unless you say something, no one would qestion it. there are some fast cars in STS2, you would not be in the running for a trophy, so that would be fine (by me)

I ran BSP in a car that was 99% BSP ready. I did have 2 things that took me out. and to be honest, I didnt care. one was my wing, and the other was my short shifter (go figure). now the SS no one knew about. and the wing, on big events I would take it off, and at the local events I would just leave it. only a couple people said something, and it was more like "you know its not legal... right"

.... now if you run X runs, it means you are there just for a time, no class is needed.
I wasn't planning on not telling them I'm modded, I was just curious how thorough they are. I'm not even participating in the event.

I dont knwo yet Jesse. they are "thinking" at this time.

some are saying let everyone in (like me)
some are saying let anyone with more then 3 races join. (I dont know if this means 3 times this year, or 3 times ever)
Some are saying dont let them in at all this race.

what eveah, I'll let you all know. its sill 3 weeks away.

looks like they have decided on a few things.

for number 1 (below), you would have to show up early enough anyways, we need to tech, walk, and register. they are just trying to state that you need to make sure you do the "novice" course walk. this means they will take all the novice guys around the track and talk about everything.... heck I'll walk with you guys. (I gotta walk the course either way, why not go with ya'll)

number 2, I assume they will talk about all this on the walk. it's not a big deal. (dont run in front of a car, it will win... you know, stuff like that)

no X runs, I have no idea why they are not allowing X runs, this makes no sence to me. I guess they want you in your class.... I still dont knwo why. I will see what class all of you can run that would put you in the same boat.

Fun runs.... dont worry about those, we will not be at the track long enough for that. (this means that at the end of the night they MIGHT let you go out and do some more runs just for the fun of it.... problem is you would have to wait the rst of the nigh out.... your welcome to, but I am going home after.

please keep in mind that in autocross you work course. this means that either before or after your 3 runs, you will have to stand out on course and pick up cones if/when they get hit. it's actually kinda fun to be on course and get to see cars up close. hopefully you get to work for a cool class and not some crappy slow class.

also, due to a lead member dying recently, they are accepting CASH ONLY for this race. (they dont have access to the accoutn at this time).

Here is what they wrote.

Non points card entrants with less than 3 events run are eligible to run with the following regulations:
1-You must arrive early enough to do an instructed novice course walk that can be verified.
2-You must have safety instruction on course working, proper etiquette both on course and in the pits that can be verified.
3- You can get the registration wrist band after completion. If you do not attend the above, you will not be allowed to run.
4-If, in the course of the event, the Solo Safety Steward, or their appointee, deems your driving erratic, dangerous to the workers or to you, your demeanor or actions distracting to other drivers or creates a dangerous situation, they may, at their discretion, restrict you from further runs. The SSS, only, will have the final word. There will be no appeal.

There will be no X runs during the event.

Fun runs may be at event ends. The final decision will be made the night of the event and will be based on interest and participation.

.... right this second, I am thinking a class called CSM. (california street mod) i think its an open class. I am still checking into this class for ya'll

this would make it so you run and work with me. the best part is, we work for the fast guys!

if not then I am thinking about a class called PAX. I will explain PAX later if CSM does not work out. PAX would also work and run the same time CSP does. (my class)

K guys, you are all going to run CSM.

California Street Mod is a catch all open class. if the car can be registered, you qualify for this class.

just make sure all your safty stuff is in place. no cracked windshields, no missing lug nuts, battery is tied down.... stuff like that. this includes removing stuff that can fly around in your car. (no loose items in the car or in the trunk)

so who all is going?

Damon in the conquest
Ryan in the Evo X
Rob in the FC
Casey in the super miata

anyone else?...

beagle, you can run the MRS in CSM or CSP..... (either way you would run at the same time of night)

I gotta skip the next few weekends.
I have way too many projects to take care of.

For some reason Steph wants the water heater to work in the new house.
And having A/C in the IE during summer time is kinda nice too.

I have good friend of mine who owns a plumbing business. Do you need it changed out(water heater)?

It's because they've all blown up. JK! Patience and you will find a good one. Try not to jump on the first one you see unless it is for sure the winner.

It just bugs me because I have over 6 k to spend on one but no one is selling. At least I am getting more exercise from riding my bike everywhere though I don't know how I am going to get body parts for the miata.

Beware of that car.. a piggyback with a narrow band A/F. Make sure you ask him who tuned it and how (wideband nessecary) and what he was boosting. It could be already blown or on its last leg. I hope you find a good one!

true.. but if some idiot tuned it becuase he thought he knew what he was doing.. running extremely lean......that motor could be in bad shape and nobody would know.... we're just trying to weigh out all possibilities..
