Saw the same SA at JCCS. Had the SS trophy and a JCCS 2nd-place plaque from last year on his dash.
Still didn't open his hood, all day long.
Pretty sure it's been reshot recently - - it looks like K8 but it's way too metallic, and looks to be 2-stage paint. Some big pile of stuff in the rear hatch with a black cloth draped over it.

That would have meaningful merit if I was in the courtyard part of the competition, which I wasn't you silly guy. Competitors win poker more by how good their poker face is than having the best cards in his hand. My hats off in congrats to the poker faces in this case as well as they were the winners even if better cards were being held by others.
FWIW, in conversation at the time Eddie was absolutley open and honest to anyone that asked about how he was playing his showing. So good for him on the win.

LOL ah you guys are a crack up. I would've popped the hood as soon as the judges would ask me to do so. Like I said, after the e votes went down hill and ended up in a **** pile, I gave up. I wanted to just hang out with friends and park with all the other FCs. To my surprise, I was pulled out from being in line (minding my dirty car's business) and placed in preferred parking to be voted on I guess. I didnt know I'd win without popping my hood. Well I plan on winning 1st place again next year and this time I'll even have the doors and hatch open LOL

Eddie won it fair and square playing by the rules. No rule said he had to open his hood or roll down his windows. Just honest representation he had a Wankle under his hood. When I asked, Eddie was totally up front with what's what. No doubt he would have been just as up front if asked by those judging. They just didn't. All this is NOTHING compared to what I heard went down at SevenStock4.
Sure there were a number of 2nd Gens on Vendor row (a couple with Blinged out 20B's come to mind) and elsewhere in the courtyard and show yard that a lot of people could argue were more worthy. But that's the situation in any subjective competition like this.
It's a subjective (and sometimes political) beauty pageant for cars with voting not unlike what happens at the Miss America pageant. The only time I recall that a Miss America winner had to give back their crown was when some supporter of a runner up found nude photos of the winner and posted them all over the internet. Lets hope none of the SS12 runners up find any nude photo's of Eddie.
PS No, that wasn't a photoshop's picture of me wearing the hat. I actually appreciate the effort that goes into making an RX7 into an Oxymoron no less than Fris putting a 13B in his Miata. Only in Fris's case I consider it am improvement.

I plan on driving my car as it was mean to be driven, hence the CX Racing stickers on my windshield. I didnt know that trophy meant so much to you. I really could've cared less about winning it but doing so made me proud of my work and time involved. FYI I did almost all of the work myself except, of course the kit and paint. this car was a bone stock base model NA when i got it only 11 months ago. now its fully rebuilt, legitimate TII from front to back and all done by my own hands so I'm sorry that I cant paint or own a spray booth.
Of all the people in the courtyard, you were the only one who didnt introduce yourself and then when I got that trophy, I swear I could hear your thoughts and the look on your face said it all. Everyone except for you came up to congratulate me but instead you lessen yourself as a person because your ego takes hold of you and your emotions and you cant let things be.
There is no doubt in my mind that you are a skilled driver and that your car is an amazing machine. You're also 2x older than I am with a bigger budget for your track time (I'm assuming). I'm 25, have an apt to pay rent on, bills, and then you go and blast me for not having all the things you have done to your car. So sad. Cut me some f***ing slack!!! Word travels fast in this small community we share so please dont say things that make me appear to be a cheater or an *******. I respect everyone and will never disrespect you in any way.
As for your track challenge, I appreciatively accept your challenge. I personally like streets of willow FYI. Maybe if I'm all dialed in by Dec I wanna do a SpeedTrials event then.

I dont know why you have this misconception that I have built a car to park at shows. I've never believed in show cars. I do appreciate the work but I'm not a fan of building something so it can sit on carpet for others to gawk at.
