I'm sorry to hear that jaime

I've been there too. Put in a motion sensor alarm in your garage, you can get them at harbor freight.

That's BS. Had to be someone on the forum Taking FD specific parts from someone's garage is, well, a little too obvious. I hate thieves.

Getting into my place uninvited is not all that hard for someone determined to do it, but doing it unseen, and getting out again in one piece, is a different story.

Side benefit of my professions.

its too much work for cops to find your car, they would have to do more than get out the car and walk 20 ft to give you a ticket. And there are too few good detectives out their, sooooo we get left with the rest. Not sure if I am the only one who has seen this, but doesnt it seem as if cops have become more aggressive over the last few year for nothing. Coming to the window talking ****, or being super sarcastic...idk

On a brighter note everyone seen the Marines coming out defending American civilians and making a stand in front of the cops in this "Occupy Wallstreet" stuff. kinda cool

Did you report it, Jaime?

Seeing as the stuff was inside your house, if you've filed a burglary report and if your homeowner's insurance covers home contents, much of it might even be insured.

well the thing is all my stuff is at my neighbors garage across the street. and if i called the cops they wouldnt do much (cant do anything but file a report) it wont get my stuff back :/

also i dnt want my neighbor freaking out knowing some one was in the backyard... she helps me out enough.. i dnt want her stressed out(she just came back from the hospital. was gone for 2 months)...

Right, if I was your neighbor I would'nt want you to tell me my garage was just broken into and that someone/ anyone can get in my backyard and take whatever they want and get away with it scotch free either. Good plan.

Not to gas you up or anything but, im very sure you know the person(s) that took your things. Our community is

small, if it not be someone that has to do with cars than its someone that is involved or related to your neighbor.

There is NO WAY that a random person went to your neighbors house UNKNOWING that its unoccupied. Breaking

and entering into the premises , take things and run out with a bunch of random parts to a car that the perp

knows nothing about. YOU'VE MET YOUR THIEF BEFORE. TWO Possibilities. Either showed him/her your stash

across the street, or a person acquainted w/ your neighbor did it. Thats it.

You can definitley rule out a Random person, and if your wondering why they took the food, because they could!!

Sorry about your loses. ( I dont even give a key to my dad when it comes to my car parts or pricey possessions, that are in his shed ) Ha

His neighbor will probably tell him to take his car and beat it. They weren't in there to steal HER stuff. I'd imagine that's where Jaime is coming from.

Fkn sucks, dude. Good luck finding those bastards!

So take your car and stuff and get out. Why subject your precious parts to a free for all at a unsecure location albeit its only 50 feet away?

It would have been secure if he had locked the gate, remember?
That's a pretty sweet deal he's got going. I wish my neighbor would turn her garage over to me so I could work on my car. Maybe the neighbor knowing that he forgot to lock the gate would sour that deal...It sounds like she's already got some important stuff to think about.

If that were the case, then he'd probably not even want her to know that his stuff got heisted.

So naive.

Here's a pre Good Luck on it NOT happening again w/ your stuff staying in the same location.
