So I read the ENTIRE emmisions thread... Can I eliminate my egr in CA?

The electric connector broke on the egr when I removed the motor, so other members suggested I remove/eliminate the egr. Will this affect my chances of passing smog (sniffer wise)?

Sniffer wise, you probably won't have a problem. However, it won't pass visual if the tech notices the EGR is missing.

Thats what I figured. I'm only worried about the sniffer part. I just need to pass smog to reg the car as a Cali car. Its gonna be registered up at my dad's summer home in the mountains. Supposedly smog regulations are less stringent up there.

Elimination, here I come!

Thanks
