smog STAR

RX7's are pretty much doomed in CA. This nearly inevitable.

if the rolling 25 yr smog exemption rule was still in place, my GSL-SE would finally qualify now!

i see flaws in this logic so if say 2 old cars pass by at the same time which one do they pull over? and if they just popped every honda that was in anyway modded they wouldnt need to be at this point

my mechanic has been able to get quite a few cars to pass LEGALLY// as long as all your smog crap is there he can get the numbers low enough to pass

I had to go to a star facility this year and I still passed and my car had been sitting for about a year. Two years ago I had a lot of work done on the car so that it would pass smog. The only thing that really screws us and i found this out from the smog guy is that California passed a law that made it 30% harder for vehicles 1995 and older to pass. So the last time i smogged i had a lot of leadway but this time I was close again. But hey I got two years to figure out how I will pass smog.

Well, Looks like I am screwed. I got another FC about 2months ago, and during the rebuild, the guys at the shop saw that all the emissions stuff has block off plates. And I still went with a street port too. Well GG for me.

My 03 Z passed "Star" inspection without issue. But then, it's bone stock even if it's got 130k miles on it.

^^STR-4 guys are hillarious! I swear they all have something to prove to the world because they drive a hopped-up grocery getter. But in reality they are all just trying to prove it to themselves because really, no one gives a **** about a neon.

Seriously just checkout how many remarks in one post are about how 'fast'

This has already been discussed.

The actual smog laws have not changed.

The Star Station thing is on the business end of the deal. Consumers are not affected by these changes. The reason why cars still pass at Star Stations is because NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

I rolled by a Star Shield station to inquire about the price.

$51 bucks for my Accord. Don't know why he asked year and make of the vehicle though...
