I have used Greyhound to ship a couple of hoods. They are cheap too. You need to take it and have it picked up at a local terminal though.

I have used both Fed Ex Freight and UPS Freight for reasonably cheap.

I just build a crate with 1x6 and a couple of sheets 1/4 inch ply and a bunch of bubble wrap.

Think it was $120 last time I shipped one on UPS Freight to Texas from CA

Shipped an Rx3 hood from Reno Nevada to Tampa Florida by Greyhound package Express. $55 and reached Tampa in 3.5 days. Go to a body shop and ask if they have a used "hood box" usually they will let you have it for free. I usually give the guy $5 or $10 for his trouble. Item has to be picked up at the bus station and Greyhound demands a phone # to contact the recipient. Must be picked up within 24hrs.
