So last night i was really sick, i caught a BADDASS fever. I woke up, I heard like a sound like a trash truck outside my house, but its not trash day. I look outside the window and see a cop witha tow truck, and my gold fc3s on it. I hurried and put my clothes on, and ran downstairs, and said HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, STOPPPPPPPP!!! the tow truck drove off, and the cop SAW me, looked at me and PEELED OFFFFF AWAY.... CAn u believe this? I chased the tow truck driver down with my gfs corola, to the tow truck place, called bobs towing, and was like WTF man, why the hell did you guys tow my car? The brotha tow man said the Walnut sheriff station ordered them to tow it, and I SAID WTH did I do WRONG? its parked on my street next to the curb with no signs and Im just sleeping. The tow truck driver said, the officer thought my car was abandoned. Because the license plate is registered under my other house that caught on fire a few months ago, and my insurance company relocated us to this new home. So I guess when the cop ran the plates, it was suposedly registered at my other house that is still under construction, so he towed it. I WAS PISSED. The tow truck company couldnt help me, so i called the sheriff station, and they said they dont know anything about it, yet maybe the paper is not processed. and hes telling me to calm down and all, and IM LIKE WTF u guys towed my car, and IM SICK WITH A FEVER, I could barely drive im so fucken dizzy and cold and hot and sweating. So I drive down to the sherfis station with my gfs corrola with barely any GAS, its on E and im dying because imreally sick... Got there and spoke to the cop that peeled off from my house. He said he thought it was abandoned, and when he looked inside itwas all gutted, so he thought the car was stolen, and one of my neighbors reported it abandoned. But its BS, because I DRIVE my FC3s EVERY dayy. I told the cop that, and he says well sorry there nothing i can do. I asked him then why did u peel off away when I yelled at you to stop? He says he thought I was a kid waving hi from far away. WTF bSSS. I GOt reall heattedd...So I said This is BULL ****. STRAIGHT UP. Im sick and ihave todeal with this crap..so "if I go to afriends house visiting in broad daylight, and my car is not registered to the addres ur guna tow it?" He stuutered and said noo....but if we get a complaint, we have to do something. I said why didnt u guys at lease knock on my door, u know wtf. he says he wasnt sure which house. I know hes just being a dick.. and he said okay il see what ican do, and he ran the papers or something and checked my ID and came back and said to me, IM sorry but your car had oil leaking, and it is a major road hazard, even if its not a abandoned veicle i would have towed it anyways,. IWAS LIKE WTF, all cars leak oil. Your just changing the reasoning! SO he told me to go to bob towing and pay the towing fee to get it out, and I said dont I need a release form, and he said no. So i drove all theway to bobstowing,and ended up with the fat lady saying u need a release form, so I had to driveall thewayyy back to the sherfifs place, and they said i have to pay $93 for release form, and the towing fees. I said dood, i didnt do anything wrong, I should not have to pay. Im a student, i have no job,and no money what do you want me to do???? he says, I dont know what to tell you man, shiet happens." He says do you want me to get the watch commander to talk to you, hes guna say the same thing. I got so heated.. I wanted to turn into virginia tech status on those cops. seriously...man i pay taxes and shiz, my car is registered insured , I daily it, I drive VERY calm, and I always help ppl that break down on the road in my fc[i carry all my tools], like wtf man. discrimination . seriously.
I have no money to get my car out today, so tnite i asked my dad for money, and he got hella mad, he says I just need to get rid of my rx7. He says society just hates my car. I said man this is America, its like myfc3s is colored and I cant even freaken park on a legal parking street in front of my own home? Its like my rx7 doesnt belong on the street. Its street legal, it has stock exhaust, stock s4 na motor, emissions... Its quiet as hell.. In america u should be able to drive whatever youwant as long as your not causing chaos or noise poluution... Im tired of getting hassled by cops because the way my car looks.. its BS/// If I decide to sue walnut police, its not even guna be worth it because of how much money I have to spend on the lawyer, and its not justify..



SO what do guys think? Am i supose to pay all that money to get mycar back or fight for it back with paying anything? Where do I go 2 complain about this? Because its a mistake the police made. My car is not abandoned like they thought it was and they towed it.. I daily my fc. its registered up to date.

Oh yeah when they towed it, they ripped off my bumper cuz itwas too low, and they yanked off the turn signal wires just like that. wtf... is going on with this world... im still sick.. taking airborn////

If they wrote that it was abandoned, and it wasnt, it was their **** up. You should not have to pay. Did they write down that it was leaking oil as the reason they towed it? or simply just wrote down abandoned.
Sounds like a dick head neighbor is too blame.

i would go back and talk to the watch commander. Bring your dad. and dont take this bullshit. especially since your racking up fees every day your car is in the lot.

damn daniel, i just barely met you on sunday... f!@#. sorry to hear that.

a friend just told me to do the following...

- get your car out of the impound
- get an estimate of the damages that was caused by both police and towing company
- take copy of estimate to towing company and police department
- try to have them both reimburse you
- fight the police over the fact that your car was towed
- try to get it it reimburse from towing company cost whatever
- if not too much, take it to small claims court
- if you have pics before the happening, and after pics, use it to your advantage to get your money back
- lastly, don't take "no" as an answer

all this happend today around 1130 am to noon. I have before picture, its in my SIG pic, thats where i park everyday. I have two pictures from the towyard. thats about it...

I havent got my car out today, because Ihave no money. IM luky i talked to mydad, hes on my side. He gave me blank checks toget mycar out tmrw, and we are guna try to fight it and sue em or w/e Ican do . Im thinking Im just not guna daily my fc3s anymore, im just guna drive it on weekends and drift events and leave it in the parked in the garage. Il just use my gfs car [1999 automatic corrola]until she gets her license.. Its just sad man... I think we car enthusiats at one point if it gets any more ridiculous, we need to stand up for ourselves... seriously its not freedom anymore.

If that EVER happened to me.... and if I had some time...

1. Yes, talk to his Sargent, LT, or Watch Commander. So what? He isn't the Police Chief, he still has a superior.. and his boss is your Mayor. And do you know who the Mayor listens to? Residents of the city.. aka YOU.

2. Get the officer's Name and info, so you know who to tag the bills to.

3. He was responding to a call right? There must be logs of the call, and what the call was for. You think the call was for "a car leaking oil"? I wouldn't know how you can get logs of the complaint though. At small claims, ASK THE OFFICER himself in the courtroom. "I forgot your honor" wouldn't be a good response. = )

3. File a complaint, yeah it might not even make him whimper.. not a tear coming down his face, his heart wouldn't skip a beat...but it MEANT someone wasn't too happy with his "service". And having too many complaints on his record is good for promotions in his future? Not a chance sucka!

4. Small city governments suck, but Walnut IIRC is patrolled by Sheriffs, bigger organization, more ears to complain to.

5. Go to small claims, represent yourself, have someone smarter (who spent a helluva lot of time in school) listen to your complaint and damage estimates.

6. Document everything! PICS. Estimates. I'd wonder who the officer would point fingers at when he gets SERVED with the court papers.


Do it and report back when you go to small claims.


or you can pay the tow yard and get your car out tomorrow without complaining, your call!

your neighbors suck first off. I dont think you should have to pay but you're going to. The way the system is set up, you'll end up loosing more money wasting your time. thats sucks man, you need to take them to claims court and get a new bumper and some paint. Cop also needs to get fired or some kind of corrective action against him.

Not of only for causing you stress. But this will be for all the other enthusiats that are being dicked by cops.

Man they towed my car last month coz they said it was "abandoned" (just coz i hadn't driven it in 5 or 6 days)

$700, new license plates and registration later, I got it back. Wtf man, what a pointless ordeal.

Is your FC dirty? like it hasnt been washed in months? If not, i would take a pic of it in the tow yard( i cant view the pics you posted btw, so i dont know) then go complain to his superiors. say " how the F, does this look abandoned?" as long as you can see thru the windshield...

I pissed off this bizotch that towed my talon. When i went to get my release form, i put my feet up on the table and the dumb meter maid that towed my car walked by and told me to take my feet of "HER" table(bitch with a power trip). i just smiled and kept them there. she has no authority. what is she going to do, write me a feet on table ticket? **** her. Trying to play on the publics fear of authority.

I really pissed off a couple cops that day (they shouldnt have stole my talon though...)

when i had my 7 impounded they dented it up pretty bad, i talked to the owner and he fixed the damage for me-

You should fight this man, it sounds like a load of BS to me. Get as much documentation as you can (before and after pix, receipt for the bodykit if you have it) to help you prove the monetary amount of damage caused to your car.
Talk to the watch commander, LT, police chief, anyone you can, and don't take no for an answer.
Take it to small claims court if you have to. I know it takes time and effort, but people need to fight back.
