to sell or not to sell...

what up guys, it's been a while, and lately... i've been thinking about selling my fc...!

i don't know if it's the best idea or not, but it doesn't get driven much anymore, and if i do decide to sell it... should i part it out? or should i sell as a whole?

here are the specs:

- 1989 chassis w/ 160k mi approx
- 1990 rebuilt ported mazdatrix n/a 13b w/ approx 60k miles
- 1990 tranny w/ 150k mi
(i totaled the 1990 on the freeway on the way to the track, transplanted everything to a 1989 body)
- Full racing beat exhaust
- apexi intake
- jacobs ignition amp
- Koyo Radiator
- Black Magic e-fan w/ switch
- mazdatrix strut tower bar w/ integrated torque brace
- adjustable kyb's w/ less than 30k mi on them
- racing beat linear rate springs w/ less than 15k mi on them
- suspension techniques or autoexe front and rear sway bars (don't remember offhand)
- rebuild s4 LSD - less than 10k mi on the new clutch pack
- Hawk HP+ brake pads
- drilled & slotted brembo rotors
- mazdatrix braided stainless steel brake lines
- mazdatrix short shift kit
- mazdaspeed shift ****
- Recaro SPD driver's seat (i'm thinking of keeping the passenger seat, don't ask why)

i also have (separate)
- 2 leather door panels off of an s5 tII
- 6 s5 tII style rims, 4 w/ falken azenis sports 205/55/16 i think
- an extra s5 oil cooler
- momo monte carlo steering wheel
- spare rear s5 bumper
- 1 leather s5 seat (2 if i don't keep the passenger recaro)

it ran great the last time i drove it (unfortunately it's been a while and i think the battery is dead now)

the car might have other stuff on it, but i'm not sure right now...

but yeah, pro's and cons of selling?? and if i am selling/parting, who in socal wants stuff or the car? cuz i don't plan on shipping

welcome back to me.

- pcs (who's employed now, so now i'm a pcperson? or a pcper? or maybe i'm just straight pcp.)

what is the reason you dont drive it? are you still in school and poor? can you afford to keep up with maintenance and gas prices? if you enjoy driving the car, keep it. if not, sell it.

oh and btw,
i want:
rad, e-fan, and brake system (if its 4 pot)

i don't drive it anymore b/c i'm driving a speed6 now...
i don't have any space at my apt in LA to keep it, so it stays at home w/ my parents.
i don't have as much time anymore now that i'm working,

and it's not like the speed6 is slow or it is useless on the track... i took it to buttonwillow and it was a blast!!

there's also a turbo kit that ATP is coming out w/ that puts a gt3071r in it that puts 325awhp untuned... altho... i want to keep it stock for as long as possible (minus the auto-exe springs i already put in)

i also figure that if i'm not going to drive it that much, why keep it, when i can pay off cc's or fund my other hobbies... unlike the other old school belligerents, i hope to come back to the rotary one day

I say you part out as much as you can while keeping the car in running condition, then sell the car for whatever you can get for it.

you could just put it back to stock and sell it like that.
il give you my stock fan, rad, and brake system (calipers, rotors, and pads) plus cash to trade for yours? then you can sell the car whole.

If you do decide to part it out I would be interested in the RB catback and maybe the midpipe. Sway bars if they are ST, and maybe the LSD...

honestly i'd be looking in the 3000 range, give or take, depending on the situation.

This was the car I was in at laguna seca when i was chasing down that ferrari (if anyone remembers mazfest ) <disclaimer: the driver sucked>... altho at other track days in the beginner/intermediate groups, i'd catch some evo's sti's, s2k's, fd's, and elise's... altho i also got smoked by much slower cars... driver skills >> car ability

ok, so i've decided that the 2 options as of now are to sell the car as a whole or keep it. I don't have the time to part it out, nor do i have the heart to part it out and have pieces sit there until someone wants them...
