I would honestly only trust one friend with any of my cars, and only because he isn't a car guy. The rest would break the promise and fly off with whatever pos I leave with them.

I've left my FD and my FC in friend's hands before when I had to deploy with the military. My friend had my old FD for 4 months and I left my FC for 15 months. Nothing bad happened either time. You just have to have friends that you can trust. Just because I've known someone for a year or two and they own an 7 doesn't mean I'd let them watch my car.

But I am sorry to hear about your FC. I hope that everything gets sorted out with both the car and with the guy who should be throwing some cash your way. I don't guess you have any form of written agreement from when he was "taking care" of your car do you? Best of luck.

Well everyone here knows that once you get bit by the rotary bug it's hard to shake off the wankel. I know everyone has problems with the 7, but those days when it's purring seem to make the world a better place.

Thanks to everyone for showing some support. I got a window from the junkyard today for 20 bucks and i'ma try to get it started tommorrow to see where the oil leaks are. If anyone has some free time and wants to work on a 7 this week-end drop a note. There's plenty of problems to fix now.......

out of curiosity,

was there broken glass by the side of the car when you picked it up, or only on the inside? i wouldn't accuse anyone of anything, but given the situation, i wonder if the glass was broken before or after it was parked.

I did not notice glass on the street. I will probably never find out what exactly went down. And there was only a little glass in the door and next to none in the car itself. Who knows maybe he did it himself to make it look like a break in? Either way I have a non-op 7 and another person who I don't trust.

I'm in La Mesa. It's weird becuase everyone tells me it's not the greatest place to live but it's pretty nice to me.

Anyway any help is welcome. I'm off until tuesday. But only for this week, then it's fridays and saturdays. But I get to work on my car all day becuase I work the graveyard.
