I was in my loud *** FB when I saw them. Luckily, they got one in the roller so they couldnt do anything except give me the evil eyes. The road sign says "SURVEY" so its not "mandatory." So **** them, they can subpoena my car if they want. It will only take me a less than a day to swap the engine back to stock. The benefit of having lots of junk parts.

Seen them twice already right by the 3M building, on Myrtle north of Longden, in the city of Monrovia. They always have 2 CHP's tagging along.

yeah, my mechanic said they parked in front of his shop and started popping the hoods of cars that didn't pass.

That surprised me, because I had heard that this was "optional", and that it was only used for iformational purposes (i.e. there aren't any consequences for not passing)

It has nothing to do with Law Enforcement at all. The state is just using it for survey purposes. I had a link explaining the whole thing but can't find it anymore. Search the West Section for it

I wonder how much smog the rolling smog machines produce.

Net gain or reduction of smog?

I also wonder how much it costs and how much it rakes in.

Net gain or loss in funding?

Hmmmm.........
