Just bought my second FD, its currently on the back of a car hauler somewhere. Coming in next week. First one I had in LA, since then ive moved to san diego

Got her, she runs goooood. So stock, not used to it.

Need my gauges installed and I am lagging on that.

Here in East County, hardly ever on this forum anymore since I'm in my last semester at SDSU. Just got time this weekend to finish a lot of work on my car Anyways, sup?

 

got my single turbo done and tuned last week - black FD you'll see all over as soon as i get back in town for a change.

 

When are you back in town? That black flag icon is beast. Seen them twice.

 

Hey guys im moving to Imperial Beach from New York in a few months. Im currently 3 rotor swapped. How are the cops Im a tad loud to say the least

 

Depends.

Obnoxiously loud? Or just loud? Cops have been getting numb to the idea of loud cars but they'll get you if it's too bad in San Diego.

High chance they'll make you smog if they catch you. Not all the time but its happened. The more expensive you make your car look, the less they pay attention to you. At least that's what I notice. Just my two cents.

Anyway. FD in SD here.

 

I guess it depends on what exactly is a tad loud. If your car is obnoxiously loud chances are that you will eventually get pulled over. If you are active military and have out of state plates then the local police have no jurisdiction over your vehicle. In other words, you don't have anything to worry about with out of state plates.

 

Im not active military rather going to school out there and keeping my car registered in NY. Car is loud to say the least but its a 20b with a 3.5" exhaust so its par for the course.. Not sure how theyd force me to smog if im out of state? Its not like a drive like an *******.. rather the opposite.. Just want to make sure its not the type of thing they go out of their way looking for.

 

They'll probably see you and then pull behind you and see the out of state plates and then leave you alone. Whoever said the more expensive the car the more they seem to leave you alone, is pretty much accurate.

 

Cool. What do you guys do for fun? Any track events or go on trips anywhere. you guys meet up or anything like that

yea definitely do that!

as for the loud - my car is pretty damn loud, though, now it's a bit more quiet w/ the single turbo (somehow), and as long as you're not obnoxious or acting stupid with it, i've never gotten a second look *knock on wood*. just don't drive like an idiot would be my $.02.

even out in the mtns, just take it easy on the straights.

as for my return, i get back for good (3 day stint home which will be dedicated to the 7 from 28-31 oct) on the 17th of Nov. can't wait...

anyone up for a track day and a mountain run soon? i'm planning on doing one of the following (maybe both depending) with extreme speed track events:
November 23 2013 AAA Speedway Roval 11/23/2013 (Saturday)
November 24 2013 AAA Speedway Roval 11/24/2013 (Sunday)

or perhaps streets of willow with speed ventures on 12/7/13
