Well, i've looked around via google up there and it seems that it would be best to drive up past pilot hill where salmon falls rd turns into 49. That way we can eat at one of the restaurants where 49 (Coloma Rd) splits off at 193 (Georgetown Rd).

What do you think?

I'm not sure how long of a drive that will be though as I have never been up there myself. I am trying to go up there and scout out the area really soon before the meet date though to see exactly how long the drive would be to certain points.

Google maps says the from El Dorado hills Rd to Georgetown Rd (49) will take approx. 29 minutes.

Very short drive to me, but it could take longer than that which is why I want to scout it out and come up with a better plan if it indeed is short.

What do you think?

29 minutes i dont think so its a good 15 to 20 to the bridge hauling a$$ but if it is that short lets go up 49 too

Take US 50 towards South Lake Tahoe; Exit at the Sunrise Blvd exit (Rancho Cordova) This is after the Mather Exit; Turn right (South) onto Sunrise;
In 1 or 2 miles you'll come to Douglas Road -- Right on Douglas You enter Mather Field here -- it's not guarded Douglas crosses Mather Blvd -- continue across onto the autocross site; you will see the cones and cars.

well there was a event today and tommorrow 4/4-4/5/09...Tomorrow is the last one for Mather field....for the time just make sure you make it before 12 pm (that's when registration closes) other than that check the scca web site to find out which class and run group you are in...one is in the morning and the other is in the afternoon....fyi it's better to get there early and set up...space is kinda limited sometimes...lets see the obvious rules are no cracked windows (front windshield)...battery tie down is REQUIRED! it's just like going to sac race way...make sure nothing leaks (or at least cover it up haha) bring plenty of water or money (it's gonna be expensive to eat at mather field but subway and MCD and Bk aren't that far away)...event day will prolly cost around 60 per day (100 for the whole weekend usually) that includes temp membership and entry fee's...gas etc...if your a member already your paying 25 a day I believe? can't think of anything else....and bring a umbrella or sun block and a chair

check it out

If your Running Stock Class...N/A's are in ES and FC turbo are in BS...FD's ARE IN SS LOL (Good LUCK!)....more information can be found here http://www.moutons.org/sccasolo/index.shtml
