Hey, whoever lives in Buellton, thank Dale for me. She was a god send and a really cool chic. Tell her to give me a call.
We got a rental and will be having a professional car hauler bring the FD up to Portland in a few days.

The car is safe right now. It's at this old hot rod guys ranch, the guy is a trip. He looks like a retired mafia boss from the seventies. Plus we got a hookup with a professional car transporter who's a friend of this guy, it's only going to cost $600 to ship it back up to Portland.
You should see the work shop garage at this guys ranch...wow.
I'm going to move to Buellton, Ca when I retire, absolutely beautiful country and genuine people there.

I used to work in SB and live in Lompoc. Spent a lot of time in Buelton - used to have an excellent steak house there. If you haven't seen the movie "sideways" a lot of it was filmed there. Lots of wealthy people retire in Buelton, Santa Yenez, Los Olivos.
So, what happened to the car?

Jesse's "Sk8rpunk1983" ego and a tune that wasn't adjusted enough for the cold coastal air.
The afrs went on the lean side and the timing went 4 degrees more advanced than what was set. The combination was just enough to get a knock of 81 at 0.85 Bar and 6200 rpms.
I had changed the map at that region to be richer earlier in the day to compensate for the reduction in air temps from San Diego weather to the NorCal coastal weather, it was just not enough for Jesse's highway antic's.
I'm upset, but as long as Jesse man's up and pays for the transport fees and damages incured I see this as just another one of life's learning experiences. Especially for Jesse.
Test your setup in a controlled enviroment before you drive like a Jackass on the streets.

Peace

Well a nearly 30 degree difference is pretty big. It was in the 90s in SoCal versus 60s on the coast. It leaned out by 0.5, it was supposed to be in the 11.2 range, instead it was ~11.7. Intake air temp was 88F, engine temps 185F water and oil 215F. Which doesn't explain the advanced timing recorded. IGL was at 17 degrees instead of 21 degree, hmm...
I used to go up there alot, I lived right at the bottom of 154 in SB for years. It was cool to drive thru but I never did think north county was all that nice. Sucks about the car.
