I had originally wanted to call it Meeting of the Minds, but some people talked me out of it. I thought it sounded kinda cool though. 7fest isn't bad either.

I didn't realize it until after this was already posted up on 4 different forums. I didn't figure it would matter either, but the East Coast guys didn't like us using that name so they asked me if I would change it. They were cool about it so we'll change it.

Wankel Fest is pretty cool too.

Yeah, I'm hoping that the RX-8's will show. That was the only thing about not calling it 7fest. RX-8's still sport a Wankel.

Well similiar rotary engine designs date back as far as I think the 17th century but Wankel was the first to give a feasible design.

and Walter Froede(never mentioned that i see...) is the only reason the rotary engine ever even took a usable form. otherwise the rotary engine would be a massive unit which would require full disassembly to change the spark plugs and would be difficult to bolt to any practical transmission.

the original rotary engine had a stationary shaft and the rotors were positioned on this shaft, the bathtub shaped housings were what spun around, opposite what we have now.

I like the name "Wankelville" or "Wankeltown"

Could make a song like "Funkytown"

Won't you take me to
Wankel town!
