Rotaries in Bakersfield????

Hello, I just recently moved to Bakersfield, CA and currently own two rx7's. Driving around I haven't seen any so I was wondering if i am the only one out here or if not, where do "we" meet? Any shops out here (rotary ones that is)? Anything that can help!!!

oh wow i literally just moved from bakersfield, where ive pretty much lived since i was 2, last week to San Diego for school...however my FD is still in Bako but should be moving shortly.

im sorry to inform you but there are virtually no FDs in that town except for mine but there are a few FCs and FBs ive seen driving around. Furthermore there arnt really any rotary shops but i do know of one its off of Columbus and not that far from Bakersfield College he's actually got an FC and an RX-4 sitting out front. Its Foust automotive i dont have his card on me but ill get you the number if youd like just pm me. And as mentioned there is also Sevensonly Racing.

Ok...yeah that was my thought, ok well I'll try to find Foust Automotive and hopefully begin a network from there, and thanks for the 7's only link, what's funny is that I used to live in San Diego and just moved to Bakersfield for work (I got a really good job...had to take it) but my FD is still in San Diego, I actually drive down every weekend so it's not too bad cause I still party in SD, Anyways I moved cause I was in the NAVY and recently just got out and like I mentioned I got a really good job offer and had to take it...especially with how the economy is right now....lol I'm originally from Puerto Rico...Land of the Fast Rotaries and Fast Fours!Anyways Auto Tech is an ok shop down in SD if you're trying to find one...their prices are a lil steep but I tried not to use them if I didn't have to. They Tuned my PFC on my 3rd gen and it runs well. Anyways Thank for the help guys!

I live in Tulare County, I've got 2 7s, (FD and FC) immobile at the moment, lack of funds to work on em and keep em running. I'm always interested in helping other 7 owners out. I see a lot of FC's and 2 FD's (red and a white one) up here in T.C. running around. Maybe we can setup some kind of Central valley meet or something.

I visit Bakersfield every now and then, and all I see are pick-up trucks everywhere. Theres more trucks there than there are bros in the Inland Empire.

Ok Snap..that sounds doable....let me know whenever you get mobile again....I have a friend close by who I've know for many years from my Florida days that builds motors....and him and I got some spare parts laying around (what true rotary owner doesn't) so maybe we can even help get you mobile....hit me up! Absence...we can always upset that ratio...maybe just a tad....lol!

yeah Bakersfield only has a few fc's that i have seen and a couple pretty sad ones at that.

but its better than tehachapi where there is literally 8 and only like 3 are not owned by old ladys but then again they might have taken them in on that CARS deal.

oh and like 20 rx8's only one thats modded haha.

there is a guy around here somewhere that owns a bunch of rotary stuff he is supposed to have like 3 fd's and couple fc's and like 5 rx2's and a few repu but i havent seen a single one of his cars.

rotorkid I think you might be talking about Foust auto or something like that, someone told me he has an RX4 parked out in fron of the shop...anyways pokemon...I'm out by eunos ln and the 58 but we can meet up definitely...so when do you guys hang out/meet?

P.S. rotorkid...pretty funny about the CARS thing but I think not cause the car has to get less than 19mpg avg on sticker and the FD's (17/21) avg is 19 so it wouldn't qualify...hopefully unless i missed something....Man I really hope they didn't crush any FD's during that program...
