You can do a 17 x 10 or 18 x 10 in the back and 17 or 18 x 9 in the front no problem on stock fenders ...stretch the tire (245/40/17 or 18 and it'll look great in the back and a 225/40/17 or 18 in the front.

Focus on the right offsets though

it doesnt matter if its 8 in the rear, you can even go 9.5(or bigger) in the rear on your set up..

there wont be any power loss, only if you go 18s or bigger..

other than that itll be fine. i ran Honda S2k rims 16x7 front and 16x8 rear on my N/a and it was great!!! felt better., and now im running stock fd rims 16x8 all around on my turbo, but there not wide enough for the power im goin to be pushing.

the wider the better.
anything along the lines of x8 or up to x9.5 or x10 is great

alright, besides from the sizes, where should i get them? when i go to tirerack.com it wont let me pick sizes. my budget is around 1300 or so... i don't want togo much higher... i was thinking O.Z. that are 17x8 all around.... but i wouldn't mind 17x9 in the back.. or 18x9.

Definitely get at least 9" wide in the back, especially if you're turboed. You're going to want the extra tire patch on the ground if possible for maximum traction. Plus it looks sexy as hell seeing 275+ wide tires out the back of these small cars.

i ordered some rims, oz ultraleggeras 17x8 and they did not fit, they where less than a centermeter away from the springs and the tires would had rubbed. so i got some 17x7 and the biggest i was able to fit is 215's in the front and 225 in the back. you cant fit any bigger than 225 in the back becasue the rim is only 7 inches wide and the tire is to wide for the rim.

Run 17 x 9 in the rear and 17 x 8 in the front. If you are not able to fit it, you are doing something wrong. You need to play with the alignment, tire profile, sizes, till you get it right.

It's been fitted on an FC all day long. Worst case is you need to roll/pull fenders.

5 Zigen FN01r-c's FTW! Fr- 17X8+35 225 R615's, Rr-17X10+35 255 R615's. Both had room for a little more rubber. I've got a buddy that can get them for $under 760 new in Corona. A little over 1k for Falken zenis r615's and rims/caps/n'stuff mounted/balanced.
